Meanwhile, Elayne's battle against the Tier 3 Bone Beast raged on. Mark swung his blazing sword, severing its multiple tails, then tried to leap onto its back using his fiery wings. The beast sensed him instantly and lashed out with its massive arms, hurling him to the ground.
At the same moment, Norman charged forward, seizing one of the monster's legs and heaving it upward. The creature lost its balance and crashed down. Norman hammered its stomach armor with bony fists until cracks spiderwebbed across the plates—only for a single claw swipe to send him flying.
Mark rose again, pushing his flames to their absolute limit. He burst forward, reached the monster, and smashed its head with his blazing sword, forcing it down once more.
Elayne leaped, using Mark as a springboard to reach the creature's head with Asteria in hand. She poured Life and Death Essence into the blade, making it gleam with radiant starlight.
