"Ah, I see," Elayne nodded. "There's no helping it, then. We're doing this. Alright, let's all get some rest. I can tell you're still exhausted."
"I'm fine…" Elena yawned, already drifting off. "Ugh…"
"Bed it is," Elayne said, gently carrying her daughter back to bed. Elena fell asleep almost the moment her head touched the pillow.
The other girls followed suit. Anna, Elisa, and Monica drifted off almost instantly. Anna's mother chose to stay as well, lying beside her daughter.
With the children asleep, Elayne, Olivia, and Julieta gathered together. They spoke about everything that had happened and the promise they had made to Julieta—her wrestling match was only four days away.
"You're still insisting on that?" Olivia asked, clearly annoyed. "Don't you think there are more important matters right now?"
