"And you're certain that this is enough room? For all of you?"
I looked around the somewhat cramped living area of the farmers with a bit of skepticism, unsure of how they could stare me in the eye and tell me that this was good enough for them to be comfortable and get rested after a long days work.
Sensing that from me, the somewhat older horned man snickered and nodded a few times, causing a few of the other farmers to all chuckle quietly as well while he said "This is more than enough for us, lass. We come from a place where the bunkin' was underground; we couldn'ta had more than a foot or so to ourselves, I believe."
"Aye, we were packed into these carved out bunkbeds and told it was good enough. Not from the Clans, mind you, but from the Human territories we came from. Comparatively this is like heaven~! Though I will admit I am very much lookin' forwards to the time we get some more space..."
