The living room was deathly still as we all leaned forwards and waited for Lady Loralei and Lady D'Arcon to finish their deliberations, the two extremely prolific healers chattering very quietly as they tested our blood yet again.
It felt like yesterday when they had done this to verify that I was with Anput's pups, so for me I was having a bout of deja vu that only fed off of my nausea to make me feel like the world was unjustifiably cruel for seemingly no reason.
