Three days later, Red Bamboo Courtyard.
Night had fallen, but Du Yu hadn't gone inside to rest.
In the spacious courtyard, the enormous Hongye was lying on her back on the ground.
Her furry, round belly was being used by Du Yu as a giant bed.
Du Yu rested his head on his arms, gazing up at the endless stars, watching bamboo leaves dance in the wind, softly humming something:
"The dark sky hangs low, bright stars accompany me, bamboo leaves fly, bamboo leaves fly, you are..."
Slowly, an enormous bear paw lifted up and gently covered Du Yu's body.
"Hey." Du Yu let out a silent sigh.
Hongye: "That sounds nice, why did you stop singing?"
Du Yu struggled to push away the bear paw and sat up.
Looking around, he saw that the courtyard was still surrounded by more Chi Bears than he could count, the end out of sight.
Hongye sensed Du Yu's mood and said softly, "If you want, I can drive them away."
