"Hey, Nate, are you still upset?"
Nathan had just come out of the shower room when Jane hugged him from behind.
He remained quiet, just drying his hair using a towel.
"Hey, Love? Still mad at me?" Jane asked him again, putting on a puppy-eyed look as she took a peek at his shoulder.
Nathan could clearly see her charming reflection in the mirror.
He took a deep sigh. "Who wouldn't be? You and my son made fun of me in front of Vincent…"
Jane quickly spun him around to face her. Then, she tiptoed, cupping Nathan's face. Without further ado, she planted a soft kiss on his lips.
"Love… Don't be upset… I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. Uhmm… It's just that… I found it very funny and cute…"
Nathan's expression turned gloomy.
"Sigh. I feel like I'm a useless father. I couldn't even stop my daughter from crying. And we had to rely on others… like Butler Li and Vincent…" Nathan finally expressed his insecurity.
