Alex carried the box of food saying, "bye Margret,
"bye, Margret replied waving back at him.
"Alex… I would like to see my father, said Sofia, Alex held her hand, with a gentle calm voice,
"No Sofia, we are not paying your father a visit, we are sneaking in, that will be dangerous.. for a beautiful, lovely, sexy lady like you, I don't want dirt on your skin, said Alex.
"that will be risky, but since its you and I, then you will take care of everything, said Sofia.
"No Sofia, it's not you and I, it's Oliver and I, look if you leave, who will watch over your little sister, he asked her, (Sofia looked away),
"ok fine, just leave I don't want to see you, said Sofia.
"Sofia are you.. (she shoot the door against him), angry?, she's really angry, Sofia I'm leaving, I'm seriously leaving, you won't see me again, said Alex, he took in a dip breath, "Sofia this might be the last time, we'll see each other, I hope we meet again, because I don't know if I'll be able to over come the laid law, after this night, Alex said in his mind, he turns walking away.
T&P manager quickly brought out a note of money squeezing it into their hands each, the two police men smiled happily.
"you may go use all the time, it's yours, said one of the police man, as Alex and Oliver walked in with the T&P manager leads the way.
"the man you are here for, what's his name, T&P manager asked.
"Mr. Moonfleks, Alex answered, (prisoners chatter, don't rush or you will be punished),T&P manager opened his book list searching for Moonfleks name.
"this might be difficult, said the manager stopping, as Oliver drops the box of food on the floor.
"What is the problem?, Alex asked, standing beside him, he glanced through the book with him.
"wait a minute, that's the name, said Alex, as they checked the room number(room13), "that will be ahead of us, said manager, as they continued their journey, Oliver carried the box following them.
Door slammed open, "who is Mr. Moonfleks? Your hand up please, said T&P manager,
"No one bears that name here any longer, the man you are looking for.. he has been transferred to room one", they answered, immediately he went out.
"look this is a great job,(T&P manager nodded), it seems like you will look for him.. your self, it's a room number one, that's too far, said T&P manager walking away, after some minutes they got to the room. As Alex opened the door walking in,(immediately the two men hid, the cards their were playing).
"Alex, I can't.. I can't move any further with this box, said Oliver dropping the box, "it's too heavy" with his butt already worming the floor.
"Ok fine I'll pick it my self, said Alex, caring the box of food.
Door slammed open, Ogbolo walked in, "sir you asked for me, said Ogbolo, standing beside Valentine's bed.
"yes, I'm so pieced off that I want to visit my brother, I'm still wandering who helped him, it still bothers me, said Valentine getting up from the bed.
"ok sir, I will prepare you car, said Ogbolo turning to leave.
"don't worry, I'll drive my self, you should get some rest, said Valentine, Ogbolo was surprise that Valentine actually said that.
"sir, do you really mean.. I should, I.. are.. are you sure sir? Ogbolo asked trying not to mistake Valentine's kindness.
"what did I tell you, said Valentine.
"Ok thank you sir, I'm sorry sir, said Ogbolo, as Valentine told him to leave.
"What happened to you?, Alex asked Mr. Moonfleks.
"oh this.. (Moonfleks smiled), it's my brother's hand artistic work, but boy, you really amazed me, you really did, you did something I couldn't even think of doing, (Moonfleks giggled), oh.. this will be the first time in my life, my hands are holding a depth, Moonfleks said, looking at the food, loaded with drumsticks.
"hello brothers why don't you join me, said Moonfleks as his room partners who were seated staring at the food, and cutting their fingernails with their teeth.
"why not, is not like you can finish it alone, said one of the partner, as the three prisoners bust into laughter, they rushed to eat with him, they all sat down eating.
"look, Mr Moonfleks, ("hmm, he looked at Alex), I brought the drugs as we discussed, excuse me sirs, you have to listen to me, (the two men looked at him, using another eye to focused on the meal), it a must, you all will live taking this drug, it's your only way out of here….
(Surprise gasp), "wait a minute dear.. you mean this thing, will get me out of this hell? one of them asked, "if it's possible I don't mind taking it, so even if I die, it's much more better than living in here"
"yes It will, except if you don't get caught with drugs or you refuse to take it as I told him to, said Alex, as the two men looked at each other, immediately rejoicing.
One of them introduced him self; I'm Kelvin and this my partner Felix.
Valentine came to the police station, as a police man welcomed him.
"good evening sir, I've been waiting for your arrival, said the old man.
"as you can see, I'm here so stay behind, I'm here to see my brother and not for any fucked up business, said Valentine, walking straight into the police station.
"ash, who told you I was about to take a walk with you because of your money, greedy man, look at him greedy being, but I really need money for my wife's bill.. but that still doesn't change the fact your brother is seated with fairies, a well rich feasted garden, ash..(the old man stamps his feet out of frustration).
"this is taking so much of my time, said Oliver trying to lay on the floor as he sighted Valentine, he whistled, "his coming, Valentine is coming, he whispered.
"Hurry, you got to hide, the men said getting up, as they looked around panicking, but the room was an opened space nothing to hide in.
Oliver went back on the floor, watching as Valentine took his time, coming closer and closer, Valentine finally approached Oliver, he stopped looking at him.
"Who are you?, Valentine questioned, as Oliver sat down to face him.
"I'm just a food delivery guy, said Oliver. "I got to buy more time" Oliver thought in his mind.
"then why act so suspicious, immediately I arrived here, when you saw me your character suddenly changed, perhaps we're on a good side, you're here to help my brother" Valentine brought his face closer to Oliver, the contact of reading eyes was obvious on Valentine's face.
"Me suspicious,(Oliver giggled), no… you flatter me, it not.. like, I am a good actor, wait am I? Am.. I? ( a little moment of silence), I'm just a common food delivery guy, what do I know, I'm so exhausted right now, so please can I lie? said Oliver smiling, Valentine ignored him entering the room, Oliver face expression changed.
"after seeing my face today, this man might cause my creepy mother and I, a horrible nightmare, so I must really be careful, I'll have to look deeper into him as well, we don't know, how tomorrow will be, Oliver thought as he laid, his head on the floor.
"wow, look who is here, our future president to be, said Kelvin (future president my foot Kelvin thought), they all smiled including Moonfleks, the smile of Moonfleks made Valentine wonder suspiciously on his feet, a strong look he gave Moonfleks, he relaxed his breath.
"Hmm I can see you are smiling today little brother, but that smile won't last for long, because I.. always have my way out, of this mess you've created, Valentine thought though as he laughed.
"Ooh look at my old friends, it has been a long time since we sat down together, right?, Valentine asked hiding In a strange smiling, supporting his weight, with his walking stick.
"ooh brother.. don't tell me you are, half legged crippled now, or should I say, it's old age knocking on your doors, said Moonfleks, as they all giggled at the same time.
"little brother, I've watched you grow, starting from the day you were born, and I know when ever you speak, with so much passion, yes…(he drew the world) that passion, (Valentine took some few step, to and fro) it means there is someone around to defend you.. some times I wander who that person is, said Valentine coming closer.
"it will be nice.. if you can introduce me to this, lonely coward of yours, said Valentine.
Kelvin and Felix focused on the meal, Valentine stood looking at them chinned up,
"this is a meal, that can never be served in this prison, even if today was an independent day, this food can never be served, so someone must have been here, (he chuckled), I see.. there is some mischievous behavior around the walls, Valentine thought, looking around, immediately Valentine sighted the beds.
He went ahead to find out what they were trying to hide.
"Granma I'm scared, said Sofia holding her Granma's fingers.
"my granddaughter relax, he would be alright, there is nothing to be worried of, as long as he planned his field with wisdom, then a rich harvest.. will be his reward" Mrs Mary told Sofia, petting her on back.
They all watched Valentine with fear, and scared that they might be exposed, Kelvin looked at Moonfleks with an expression that they have filled him, Moonfleks heart was pounding continuously,
"what should I do, I can't let the worst happen, Moonfleks thought through.
"are you sure he would be find Granma?, before he lift, he didn't sound ok, I'm getting scared Granma, he is not back yet, something might had happened to him, said Sofia getting up, I need to see him. Immediately her Granma held her, Margret who was asleep woke up.
"no don't, or you will turn out to be their problem, like he told you not to come, so you shouldn't go, said her Granma resting her back on the bed.
"I hope his safe, said Sofia with Margret crawling closer, she gently placed her hands on Sofia's shoulders,
"I know your CEO, he won't hazard his life.. for nothing, said Margret.
"Yeah hazard, it's that word that bothers me, said Sofia.
Valentine was close to the bed, as one of them polluted,(gas spreads),
"hum, what in the world, decayed humans, said Valentine closing his nose, as he tried to raise up the beds his phone ran, he let go of it checking his phone.
"hello Noah how is it going, said Valentine listening to his call, "I'll be there right now, (call drops), he looked at everyone of them, he was about to make a speech, (deep breath, he shakes his head) Valentine couldn't stand the stinky smell, he quickly walked out.
Immediately Kelvin went to check, shooting his head out he said; no one is there, "his gone, boy you may come out now, he said coming back for his meal. Alex came out from his hiding, he bowed respectfully to each one of them.
"good night sirs, I've some business to take care of, said Alex running out of the room.
"that's my daughters CEO, her boss, said Moonfleks, taking a spoon of pepper soup.
"seriously, he's so kind, said Kelvin pulling the skin of a drumstick.
"I'm very sure all this is not because of kindness, it's love, said Felix, (Kelvin hits Felix on the head with his wooden spoon),
"how are you sure, are you spiritually spying on them, said Kelvin, Felix grumbled; is not like I'm insane, I'm a love expat you see. "were is Oliver, Alex thought looking for Oliver, he tried calling Oliver, but Oliver's phone was switched off.
