The fact that Master was going to whip Money wasn't a joke. Charlotte Allison and Lucas Quinn watched with their own eyes as the immortal-looking Mr. Elliot pulled out a whip, looked at Money, and said, "Go kneel in the yard."
His tone was gentle and slow, his gaze pure and holy.
To outsiders, it didn't look like he was about to punish Money, but rather bestow a blessing.
Money pulled a long face and obediently walked toward the yard, neither begging for mercy nor trying to dodge, because he'd long known this day would come.
"Mr. Quinn, Mrs. Quinn, I'll be borrowing your place for a bit. This unfilial disciple of mine violated the sect rules, I have no choice but to punish him. I must ask the two of you to forgive us." As he spoke, he gently reminded Charlotte, "Mrs. Quinn, you're pregnant and shouldn't see anything bloody. Please rest in the room for a while, we can continue our conversation later."
