This was something Polly Sutton never expected. She had even thought about Victor proposing to her, but she never imagined he would recreate the Rook family home for her.
Victor hugged her from behind. "I could only remember the general layout of the Rook family's house from back then, so I asked your dad to confirm the design plans. It should be very similar to the Rook family's original. You should have grown up in an environment like this."
Polly held the hands resting on her belly. It was impossible not to be moved, yet she didn't know how to describe this feeling.
"When did you do this? Why didn't I know at all?" How could someone as busy as Victor have time for these things?
"Polly Sutton, what should I do with you?" Victor murmured by her neck, "No matter what I do for you, do you think I'm wasting my time?"
Polly paused; this time she didn't refute like before.
It was as if she was confused, pondering over an answer she herself did not know.
