"This is how we kill wolves, this is how we kill lions. We wait until they are too busy feeding, too full of meat to notice us. Sometimes, we wait until they fight among themselves for that meat. And then….."
WHOOSH!
"We strike."
Euandros had easily shot his spear straight to the heart of one of the wolves that attacked the deer they set as bait around that area. The others were alarmed and tried to scatter, running away. But it was too late.
Their bellies were too full and the spears of the other warriors that hid among the trees and the tall grasses had struck them all as well.
"Divide and conquer. A classic trick, if you ask me." Ren Jidian chuckled.
"Classics are timeless." Euandros grinned. "Do you know more classical stories and myths besides that in Greece? How about in China? The farthest I have reached eastward was Persia, and even those pesky Achaemenidians had their walls up so high that I could not even see what was beyond them during our battles."
