The thing they loathed the most was having this matter brought up.
But what if their term was up? There wasn't even a Junior City Lord in the City Lord's Mansion. Even if the term were completed, there would be no Junior City Lord to choose new elders to succeed them.

"Madam, the Junior City Lord hasn't even been born yet; isn't talking about appointing new elders a bit premature?"
