"There is a timeteller in our room. A few clothing our size are here as well. Some money, but not to much. There are two windows big enough to escape through, but you gotta use air magic to brake your fall." I was noting important thing on some paper. "The door has a lock and we have a key. If you wear the ring, our father can hear us." I left the room and searched for other important things.
"So this house has some books for magic and a fire encyclopedia. Talking about magic..." I held both hands in front of me and used all the magic types one on each finger. Three fingers started to work. My left index finger had a small flame from the fire magic. My left middle finger had some water floating above it. My right middle finger shone bright form the light magic. "So far we have fire, water and light magic." ๐๐ฏ๐ญ๐บ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ฆ?!
"The house is not that intresting, though we have a lot of food and some sharp knifes. Howerver there is a room locked room, maybe it has something useful in it."
"The owner of this house is Martin. He knows about a lot about us and might be able to suspect us from being a demon. We might need to execute him. Magic type is fire, but I doubt he ever used it for combat. His weakness is that he is to nice and is not a fighter. His strength is that he is a lot taller than us. We are 5.37 foot and he is around 6.5 foot."
"I suggest we will not stay here for long. We need to travel and kill the higher ups. Our inventory exists out of some piece of clothing, 50 silver coins and the crystal ring. We can steal a knife, but we probably need a better sword in the future. I do not know about The Family Sword's currently location. Magic is our best shot in killing. We also need a backpack if we travel. We can store food weapons clothes and other supplies. If I open the earth gate we might be able to make an earth backpack. A notebook should become handy as well. We should be able to talk to each other with it. I think this is enough writing for now." I tried to make everything a uncluttered. I made a checklist and a character sheet of Martin with his weaknesses and strengths.
I walked to Martin and asked "can you help me with opening some gates?" I did not know how to open gates, so I asked for help.
"Sure I teach you some," he answered.
We walked just outside the entrance of the village. "So you want to know how to open your gate?" he asked and I replied with a nod. "What you do, is going in your mind and find your gate. Closing your eyes would help to find it. You have to feel the energy of the element you want to use and get it trough your gate. You should begin with primary elements, because the holy magic has some conditions you will not be able to use that easily. Why don't you try fire?" His explanation was clear and he did not know I already could use magic. ๐ ๐ด๐ฉ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ญ๐ฅ ๐ฃ๐ญ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ช๐ฏ ๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ธ.
I faked the opening of my gate and shot a fireball to the ground.
"Very good Stan. Wait let me try something." Martin walked to the fire on the floor and pointed his hand to it. "Wow... I did not expect your first shot to be that strong," he looked impressed. ๐๐ฉ ๐ฏ๐ฐ! ๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐ค๐ข๐ฏ ๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ต ๐ฌ๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ธ ๐ข๐ฃ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ต ๐ฎ๐บ ๐ฑ๐ฐ๐ธ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ด.
"How did you figure?" I asked.
"When using magic you always have two options." Martin walked back to me and continued, "you can use your own internal magic or you could use external magic. Using internal magic will allow you to use your own magic power and create your own spell. When you use external magic you can bend magic what is not yours. You can not absorb external, but you can bend it. Water users can bend water magic out of the nature very easily, because there is no magic power on it. But when you want to bend someone elses magic, your magic has to be about twice as much then the owners to bend it." This information is very useful, I should write these things to pass it to my brothers. "I couldn't bend your magic. Most beginners don't begin with much power. Are you sure you never used fire before?" Martin doubted me, so I had to think of something.
"No I never have, that's why I needed your help," I said and Martin was thinking. ๐๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐ธ๐ช๐ญ๐ญ ๐ด๐ถ๐ด๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ค๐ต ๐ฎ๐บ ๐ฃ๐ณ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ด ๐ง๐ณ๐ฐ๐ฎ ๐ต๐ณ๐ข๐ช๐ฏ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ. "Why do peaple use external magic, if it is that weak?" I asked to distract him.
"Internal magic requires mana to create, but external magic uses none or almost none to bend with." That was the reason why bending magic is way easier than creating it, but it would only be useful for small basic tasks. "You should not use to much magic when you're a beginner. Your mana won't be enough to keep up with it. You can become dizzy, pass out and at worst death, but that won't happen so easily. Let's go back to my house."

When we arrived at Martin's house, I wrote some more knowledge and waited for Martin to leave for work. When he finally left I went back outside.
"Okay, so I have to find my gate." I wanted to unlock earth magic. I coul use it for my plan to kill Martin. "Earth!" The earth I casted fell on straight to the ground. "That was a anti climax, but I opened the gate." I focused on the fealing and created a stone. "Thats where I'm talking about. I threw the hand sized stone to the "Lori village" sign and it started to hang diagonally. "I should recover the mana and work on my plan."
"I will kill that man and steal his magic."
