"Of course." Mabel Doyle, seeing her speak, quickly put down the cup to show respect.
Madam White nodded, her eyes filled with satisfaction, "No need to be nervous, relax. I asked you to come in because I want to ask, to what stage have you and Bryan White developed!?"
"What?" Mabel was taken aback, unable to react for a moment, probably because she didn't expect Madam White to ask such a question.
Madam White chuckled, suddenly got up, and walked over to sit on the armrest of the sofa next to Mabel, resting her left hand on her shoulder, as if they were old friends.
"I'm asking you, how far have you two gotten? Have you..." Madam White leaned down, her lips close to Mabel's ear, and whispered, "Have you slept together!?"
"Madam White..." Mabel was taken aback, her cheeks burning red, completely shocked, never expecting Bryan White's mother to be so open, and even more so, that she would ask so directly.
Her face turned red, too surprised to find her voice.
