"Oh my God!..." The staff gasped.
They had worked at the ranch for many years and were familiar with the various emotions of horses. In this situation, it was obvious the horse was frightened and already out of control.
"Give me the horse," Norton Abyss signaled to the staff, then mounted the horse. He rode counter-clockwise halfway around and met Fiona Schmidt's horse head-on.
From the moment Fiona crossed the finish line, she felt something was wrong with the horse. But being strong-willed, she was unwilling to call for help. However, after half a lap, she was already frightened out of her wits.
She had never encountered such a situation, hugging the horse's neck tightly. But as the horse galloped, it jolted violently, and slowly she could no longer control her body, feeling like she was going to fall off at any moment.
Finally, she simply closed her eyes. In just a few seconds, the sound of hoofbeats reached her ears.
