Lorraine Hanson frowned and held the phone a bit farther away so his eardrums wouldn't get blown out by her yelling.
"I've got so many girlfriends, I'll bring one back for you some other day…" He knew perfectly well this was what the old lady was calling about.
"Cut the crap. You've been saying that for years. Don't try to string me along again!" From the other end came the sound of her slapping the table, loud enough to make a scene.
Lorraine couldn't help but laugh. His grandmother was no pushover. When she was young, she'd been the director of the district Women's Federation, and later, thanks to her outstanding performance, had even gone on to work at the Blue House (note: the Blue House is the presidential residence in South Korea).
After retiring at fifty-five, she still refused to idle around and became the chairwoman of the Retired Cadres Association, a leading representative of women at the time.
