Since early August, everyone in the Marshal's Mansion has been vigilant and on high alert.
Emma Benson's due date was August 8th. At the end of July, the obstetrics and gynecology medical team moved into the Marshal's Mansion. The medical team totaled fifteen people, plus the previous medical team, now there are more than twenty doctors in the mansion.
Elijah Schmidt and Julia Anderson also returned from their travels at the end of July. Their intention was to have the baby at home, so they established a medical team and purchased all the necessary birthing equipment, all the most advanced, costing millions.
Emma Benson felt it was too wasteful to buy so much equipment just for having a baby. Walter Schmidt comforted her by saying that after the baby is born, this equipment will be donated to public hospitals to benefit more pregnant women.
