A flurry of small rocks exploded in every direction. I knew about his chaotic way of fighting, so I create several tornados to stop this spell. I noted that one of the monsters could use earth magic and there were 2 more. The one that just shot those bullet-like projectiles was as small as an ant from this far away, yet he could generate this much power and had this much accuracy to single me out. He kept walking forward and the one to the left side had water following him from behind, and it was shaped like a thick rope or snake. The one on the right side was stomping the ground and shards of rocks would come flying up. I heard a loud yell from the walls behind me, "Two earth magic types and one water type!" It was just me and my friend Arius that were outside the walls, and we acted as the first type of defense. Our master had left a lot earlier today and these monsters came from where he went, so I was filled with worries. When I look at Arius, he seems a lot more confident than me, despite not having magic and this being his first time fighting a dangerous monster that wanted to kill him. He says while gazing at the incoming monsters, "we need to go further past the walls and buy them time." I yell back as noises from the front and the back start to keep getting louder, "It's a 2v3, we need to stay here and let the archers and mages hold them back while we slip in attacks of our own." He unsheathes his long shiny sword that sparkles in the sunlight and starts walking then jogging to a full sprint to face the monsters away from the safety of our wall. Our master always told us to fight smart and efficient, and if he were here he would have cursed at Arius and punished him severely. "You can stay here, but I'm not going to let them get close to my home."
Arius has always been irrational when it comes to monsters, since our childhood he always used to be obsessive about monsters and practice his sword skills and his tactics in order to get rid of them entirely. I knew a lot of people in our town felt the same way, but I just wanted to understand why the monsters kept attacking us, and how we could solve this permanently, so the cycle never repeats again where we kill them, and they come back for revenge or the other way around. I close my eyes and focus on where Arius is at, then I build an invisible wall that knocks him back. I tell myself I have to make him understand just how dangerous they are, especially when there's more than one of them. The monsters are
