After walking out of the supermarket January and the rest ast own on the large rocks next to the withered trees.

"Back at the canteen, when the window broke the rain entered, though no one touched it... we did breath in the fumes of the rain." January continued.

"Wait but- that still makes no sense, rain does not have fumes!" Hayley exclaimed as she shot up and shook her head. "Natural rain doesn't, but-"

"Man made ones do, and they can't be seen by the human eyes!" Susan completed January's sentence.

"Mhm." January hesitated but kept quiet and only hummed in agreement. "Wait doesn't that mean-" "Yes, we're... mutated." Susan interrupted Jaxon's murmuring. Looking at them jump to conclusions, January watched indifferently.

"When did you change you hair color?" Susan asked as she stared at January.

"Because... because...," January was unable to form words. She felt dizzy, as if her head had been bashed into a brick wall.

"Is it just me or does January look... paler than usual?"

Hayley asked as she got up moved back slowly, sending everyone into panic.

"Calm down, the reason my hair color has changed is be - be... cause," January paused as a headache attacked her head making her already pale complexion paler. Seeing her complexion turn paler Hayley and the rest backed further away.

"Why are you backing away?" January asked as she tried to stand up.

"Ha... we're going to discuss something important... give us a minute." Siera laughed nervously as she turned towards the rest.

"I don't think that's January anymore." June said as she threw a quick glance at the increasingly pale January.

"I say we run, hands in if you agree." Jaxon said as he placed his hands in the circle, seeing as Jaxon was firm in his decision the rest joined hands. Susan walked towards January.

"We are going to find food, we'll be back."

"Okay." January agreed as she looked down, her Silver hair covering her face. Jaxon signaled the rest towards the forest. January looked up with her hair falling over her shoulders. Her iris turned more blood red with gold and purple highlights.

"They ran earlier than I thought." January muttered to herself. She began walking towards the opposite direction of the group, as she turned back she noticed that they had covered their tracks. This made her laugh, soon it turned into a ice cold indifference

" Guys I think we shouldn't have ran away from January, plus we look as pale as she does."

Susan: "(cough.)"

Siera: "We'll except for Susan."

"You all agreed, there is no turning back!" Jaxon said us he walked towards the wooden house. Kicking the door open a few bags were on the table filled with canned vegetables and fruits. He grabbed a bunch of bananas, oranges and what ever he could find in the wooden house. After filling five backpacks, they headed deeper into the forest.

"Did you guys hear that?" Susan Whispered us she stopped. Everyone froze.

"Yeah I heard it too... it sounded like... moaning..." Hayley said with her eyebrows furrowed.

"It's... zombies!" Susan exclaimed in fear, June placed her hand on Susan's mouth and shushed her, the others listened carefully, l there it was again, a slight moan. They continued walking and eventually they found themselves at the edge of the the forest in front of a lake.
