'Deal with the nuisance you have attracted.' I sent a mental message to Luther the slime demon and he started to hurriedly comply with my order, moving the high ranking officials brutally by unleashing his soul force while not harming simple bystanders.
It didn't take even a minute and an attendant standing near the carriage ran toward us to guide us.
'We are ready to move my lord.' I heard Luther's message and nodded.
The attendant guided us towards the extravagant carriage and we both boarded the carriage while our guide took the driving seat.
The 6 meter long and wide carriage which could barely accommodate two people was nowhere to be seen because the carriage from inside was engraved with various runes expanding its insides to easily accommodate six people comfortably.
Luther snapped his fingers, and I felt the carriage move but its movements didn't create any vibration or discomfort.
"It would take us half an hour to reach the teleportation gate my lord." Luther said and I nodded.
Looking outside the window of the carriage, I saw childrens, young and old demons and humans alike bowing their heads on both sides of the road as our carriage passed by them which, instead of comforting, annoyed me.
Another thing which annoyed me was slime demon who was peeking at me from time to time like a stalker.
"You will have your questions answered before we arrive at Genesis headquarters, so stop annoying me and let me rest." I said.
"I apologize to my lord, please forgive me."
"Tch…" I clicked my tongue and closed my eyes.
'It's about time you explain to me why you have taken such a dangerous task of exploring dragon's lair merlin.' I asked merlin.
'There are few things you need to understand if you want to know why I am ready to take such a risk and participate in this dragon lair conquest.'
'The first thing is related to my journey to the land of dragons and how I became a rune master, second thing is why a dragon's lair exists on planet Amora where dragons never existed and third is for your own good.'
'I am all ears as long as the information isn't too costly.' I said.
'The first thing is how I became a rune master, the 53rd hero candidate whom I supported on planet nexus had successfully defeated the demon god of that respective planet despite having worse luck among all the hero candidate i have groomed and as such, we both ascended to the land of gods, his name was thorin and he was one of the most powerful hero I had ever groomed.'
'It is not certain where we will pop up in the land of gods once we have ascended; thus thanks to his bad luck, we popped up in the land of dragons.'

'There is another level above the rune grandmaster?' I asked in amazement because the existence of the rune grandmaster was shocking in itself.
'Yes, as per my knowledge, there were 3 celestial rune master in land of dragons before the war broke out, throughout my journey I haven't seen any other race produce a celestial rune master other than dragons, they were capable of producing a transportation mean from one universe to another.'
'That is… amazing.' I thought rune grandmasters were only able to produce teleportation gates between continents but the ability to create a teleportation means between planets.
'Didn't the universe intervene?' I asked because it would devastate the balance of the universe.
'Well gods are given powers by the universe to maintain the balance throughout the world and thus the universe places various restrictions on them but those celestial rune masters aren't gods, anything they have achieved with their own ability is considered the natural course of action.'
'Oh does that mean they can travel and conquer the whole world?' I asked merlin.
'Yes, they can, depending on whether they have the strength to defeat the god of that world.' Merlin explained.
'That is understandable; this rule devised by the universe for the descent of gods when their planet is in turmoil, also takes care of the possibility of one race taking over the whole universe.' I analyzed Merlin's statement..
'Keeping that topic aside for now, after staying as a guest in the land of dragons for 500 years my host Thorin has become one of the most powerful hero, I have ever seen.'
'This prolonged stay also helped me because my knowledge base increased exponentially after many interactions with different rune masters and rune grandmasters and finally the opportunity came to me which i didn't expect to ever experience. I was able to take a step into the realm of rune master myself.'
'It had never happened in the history of the universe, where a fragmented soul such as myself has ever become a rune master because we are nothing more than a portion of some god's soul.' Merlin narrated a very small part of his life which was quite interesting to listen to.

'What I was trying to tell you is, I have more than 500 years of experience when it comes to dealing with matters relating to dragons and thus I can guarantee you, we definitely have a chance to clear or escape the dragon's lair on our own.'
So, that is what merlin was trying to say, dragon's lair was not some children's playground where anyone could enter and clear it but one needed a deep understanding of dragons culture and I doubt anyone would have more knowledge about dragon culture than merlin on the entire planet Amora.
'That is why, if anyone can conquer the dragon lair on planet Amora, it would either be me or demon duke elise.' Merlin said.
'That comes to our next topic of discussion, why does the dragon's lair exist on planet Amora where no dragon inhabits?' I asked.
'I have been on this planet for the past 1,000 years and I have tried to uncover as much history of planet Amora as possible.'
'This planet was supposed to be more flourishing than any other planet I have visited in the past, as you already know this planet is gigantic; it is the 4th biggest planet I have ever been, followed by the capital planet of dragons, vampires and titans.'
'This planet has countless resources and many uncharted islands which are bigger than continents of your previous world where innumerable numbers of resources which have accumulated over millennia lie untouched and thus it is also the center of focus of both celestial beings and demon gods.'
'According to my knowledge, this planet has faced fights between apostles of demon gods and celestial beings every generation since the inception of life which hindered the growth of this planet.'
'Apart from that there have been 3 wars which almost destroyed this planet and among them two were, when dragons tried to conquer this planet, using the traveling technology devised by Celestial rune master, they arrived on this planet although less in numbers but each one of them enough to rival the strength of demon king lucifer.'
'As per the records I found they almost killed the demon god residing here but due to intervention of other demon gods they were defeated and killed.'

'But that is not the main reason why I want to go to the dragon lair.' Merlin said.

'Remember what dragon lair is, it is a dragon's stronghold and thus if by any chance, the one accompanying dragons happens to be a rune grandmaster, we might have a chance to have our own inter continental teleportation gate.' Merlin's last words shocked me to the core.
'Yes, thinking about the strategic value of this planet which is still young and abandoned with life and resources, there is a high chance dragons would have sent their strongest forces, and there is a fat chance that among them at least one rune grandmaster should be there.' I deduced.
'Correct, they needed to travel throughout the planet and thus an inter continental teleportation gate was a must, though I doubt why didn't demon king lucifer take the matter of dragon's lair seriously and instead handed such an important location to his daughter to play.'
'You mean to say it could be a trap to lure you?' I asked.
'I think so, but it is an opportunity we can't let go based on a mere assumption.' Merlin answered.
