After Olivia Thompson stayed in the rental room for a while, she left, and soon Bertha Haines's phone started blowing up.

After one call, another came in. Just when she was getting thirsty from all the talking, Amos Smith directly handed a glass of water to her mouth. She took a couple of sips and then continued chatting.
She talked for over an hour.
Finally, it was Amos Smith who took her phone away and put it on airplane mode.
"Let's eat first."
"Oh."
Bertha was indeed hungry. She followed Amos Smith to the dining room, where Mia popped her head out from the kitchen.
"The food has already gotten cold, let me heat it up for you."
Seeing Mia made Bertha feel a bit embarrassed, but Amos Smith seemed much more at ease compared to her.
"Let me register you for a shooting course. Whether you use it or not, at least you should know how to fire a gun when it's in your hand."
She hesitated for two seconds, then nodded, "Okay."
