"You, you...what are you doing!"
Bertha Haines was startled. The moment she raised her eyes, she met Amos Smith's eyes filled with lust. After a few seconds of shock, she remembered to resist.
"Let go of me, you're drunk!"
Bertha dared not shout out loud, knowing there were two little kids just outside the door.
But Amos seemed not to hear a thing, gripping her wrist and pressing it against the door, rendering her unable to move.
"Amos!"
Amos still pretended not to hear, glaring at her viciously, his tone almost gnashing his teeth.
"You said you ran off with that man. Now you come back for what! My life had just gotten back on track, but your appearance completely disrupted it!"
Bertha didn't expect that after so many years, she still had such a significant impact on this man.
She felt quite sorry.
But that was no reason for him to bully her.
"Ah… it hurts..."
This bastard actually bit her, and hard too; she felt like her lower lip was about to bleed.
