"You two play for a while."
Amos Smith caught a whiff of the aroma of noodles. He turned his head to glance at the kitchen, then got up from the sofa.
"Alright."
Seeing Amos Smith enter the kitchen, Bertha Haines quickly took out the slices of bread and bacon from the electric griddle, then turned off the heat. She poured the already cooked noodles from the pot into a bowl, grabbed a small bunch of scallions and cilantro and sprinkled them on top.
"Smells great." Amos Smith walked over and kissed her on the cheek, "Thanks for your hard work."
Bertha Haines shot him a look, reminding him, "We're being filmed."
Amos Smith raised an eyebrow and asked, "Is the broadcasting audit so strict now? Can't even kiss on the cheek?"
Bertha Haines ignored him. She carried the noodle soup out of the kitchen and then instructed, "After you finish eating, go inside and take a nap. I'll take them to do the task first."
"Okay." Amos Smith followed her out with the bread slices.
