Finally… After walking for at least five more minutes, we eventually came to what looked like a metal doorway that had been raised up off the ground to allow us to pass underneath it.
I'm assuming the machine had powered this to lift it up and open the way for us.
And seeing that there was another portal in front of us, I guess this was the way out.
Now that leaves just one question…
I turned to the monster that had guided us here, "What do we do with this one?"
Odeta cracked her knuckles, "Isn't it obvious? We just get rid of it~"
Surprisingly, Minnera stepped forward and shook her head, "I say we just leave it. We had told this creature that if it led us to the way out, we would spare its life. I will not go back on my words."
Well… I'm not against letting it live since it shouldn't be able to follow us to the other area anyway, so we can just hop in through this portal and forget about it.
