The sky became something unrecognizable. Black and white radiance flooded every direction, no longer mere light but also filled with chaotic Magic saturating the air itself.
It spread outward in crushing thick and oppressive waves that pressed down on the world below as if the sky and air had gained weight.
Breathing grew difficult. Movement slowed. The atmosphere felt heavy, suffocating, charged with power far beyond mortal measure.
People on the ground staggered as the pressure struck them. They were forced to their knees, palms pressed into dirt or stone as their bodies trembled under the invisible force, or collapsed completely, consciousness slipping away as their strength failed them.
The weaker of the people screamed, the children cried. Even animals panicked, scattering wildly or freezing in place, unable to understand the terror that gripped their instincts.
Those with stronger Magic endured just long enough to look up.
What they saw stole their breath.
