Sylven looked around the forest, his face settling into a deep frown. He needed to find a clue about what he was supposed to do here, yet the forest had given him nothing useful so far.
He still did not know whether this place would eventually become hostile or remain as peaceful as it appeared. Something in his instincts told him the former was far more likely.
He could not explain why, but the feeling had remained with him ever since he entered the forest.
The trees, flowers, and animals appeared to live together in perfect harmony. Birds moved between the branches without fear, small creatures wandered through the tall grass, flowers bloomed beneath and around the enormous trees and the leaves swayed gently whenever the wind passed through the forest.
Everything looked natural, and too peaceful.
Sylven had learned enough by now to know that appearances could be deceiving.
