Lady Ayara stood and bowed once more. Her three companions mirrored the gesture.
"Thank you again for your time and assistance, Your Highness," she said. "We won't forget this kindness."
Her companions also prepared to leave. They bowed respectfully.
But as Lady Ayara began to turn toward the door, Arthur spoke.
"Wait."
The word was calm but carried weight. Lady Ayara paused immediately. She turned back to face him.
"Yes, Your Highness?"
Arthur studied her for a moment. His expression remained composed. "I'd like to speak with you privately, if you don't mind. There are some matters I wish to discuss regarding your sect."
Lady Ayara hesitated only briefly. Then she nodded. "Of course, Your Highness. I'm at your disposal."
