Walking on the bustling streets of Lion City doesn't feel much different from walking on the streets of Yongcheng.
Among the crowd coming toward us on the street, at least four out of five faces are Chinese, and they're all speaking in Mandarin.
"Everyone here speaks Mandarin," Lin Wanwan remarked.
"Yes, although their official language is English, more than 70% of the population is Chinese, so many people speak Mandarin, as well as Cantonese and Hokkien," Lu Shouyue explained, taking on the role of guide for Lin Wanwan.
"I see. Oh, there's an ice cream stall! I saw this online, it's one of Lion City's specialties, and I want to try it."
Without any hesitation, Lin Wanwan stopped at a street-side mobile ice cream stall to buy some ice cream.
"Alright."
Without a word, Lu Shouyue pulled out the local currency from his pocket to pay.
This time, Lin Wanwan was going to rely entirely on Lu Shouyue's money, as she hadn't thought to exchange any local currency.
