The second lesson was Languages. The essay that Wang Fu Ya took was for this lesson. The teacher wanted to collect the essays before class started. The teacher counted the papers she received. "Someone didn't hand in his or her homework. Please confess who." The teacher asked.
as expected, no one confessed. " Then, please stand up when I call your name, you may sit." The teacher slowly called out names until everyone sat, except for Yu Qi.
Yu Qi knew this would happen when she gave her essay to Wang Fu Ya. It was part of her plan. The teacher expected her to explain but she walked up front instead.
" I already submitted my essay." Her voice was heard clearly by everyone. " But your name was not amongst those that submitted essays." The teacher said.
"Of course, you won't find it. Someone stole my paper and wrote their name instead." What she said shocked everyone. " What? Do you know which student?" The teacher could not tolerate this.
" Yes, I know it was Wang Fu Ya." After that, everyone stared at Wang Fu Ya in surprise. " Yu Qi, you can't accuse Fu Ya like that. If you're sure she was the one, show us the evidence." Wang Fu Ya's best friend, Shu-Mei said trying to defend her.
" Then, can I ask Miss Wang to tell us what kind of essay she wrote?" Yu Qi asked with a smile that wasn't a smile.
Wang Fu Ya was speechless. She didn't read the essay, she just put it away until the teacher asked for it. She didn't know what the essay was about, all she could remember was that it had something to do with drugs.
"I wrote about the dangers of drug abuse." Wang Fu Ya answered confidently.
"Oh, drug abuse. Then you should be able to remember the rest of the essay. Can you tell us a little about the contents?" Yu Qi asked again.
"Yu Qi don't get ahead of yourself. Then I ask you do you have proof that it's your essay?" Shen-Mei asked in anger.
"Unfortunately for you, I do. I know the contents. In the first paragraph, I wrote about the use of drugs in medicine. Though widely used in medicine, it is only in small doses. In the second and third paragraphs, I wrote about the factors of drug abuse. In the fourth and fifth and sixth paragraphs, I wrote about the effects drug abuse has on ourselves, our society, and on our country. Lastly, I wrote a conclusion for the essay. That is enough evidence isn't it Teacher Guan?"
At first, she was facing the students, but now she was facing Teacher Guan for confirmation. "Yes, it is. The contents of the essay are exactly as Yu Qi said." Teacher Guan nodded while reading the essay.
"If Miss Shen still doesn't believe me. I can recite it word for word for you." Yu Qi suggested. She really could recite the entire essay word for word if needed. She gave a small smile to everyone.
