The rain poured down.
Violent thunder roared from the distance in bursts.
In the darkness, Lin Yue opened his eyes once again, listening to Bai's now much more relaxed breathing, the dense raindrops hitting the shelter, and the thunder. He wondered how long it had been since that time until now.
The pounding and crashing of the Monster Winged Dragon had existed before the rain fell, but now they were mixed with the rain and thunder, completely indistinguishable.
Lin Yue didn't know what he was waiting for.
Perhaps for Bai to recover, or for the night to pass quickly, or for the rain to stop, or for the Monster Winged Dragon to leave.
Perhaps for Levik to arrive, or for some Survivor to stumble by.
Perhaps, for some miracle...
But now, he had done all he could do.
The rest could only be left to time.
He got out of bed, walked to the door.
He felt the mix of medical alcohol and iodine still lingering in the shelter, pressing his ear against the door.
Rain, thunder.
