Chapter 11 - Chapter 10 - Check your body

"This is the pharmacy. When you start practicing, you will come here more often. We can hide here!"

Xiao Feng led the way with a blade of grass in his mouth, taking Xun'er around in this rather empty house.

When the Xiao Family Courtyard was first built, a lot of redundancy was left in order to avoid having nowhere to live when the population grew.

Now that there are few people, the whole building seems rather deserted, and there are many roads that no one walks on.

"Practice..." Xun'er looked at the pharmacy deeply, and it was hard to tell whether there was longing or complexity in her eyes.

"What's wrong?"

Xiao Feng walked a few steps before realizing that she hadn't caught up, so he turned around and walked backward holding his head: "If you want to practice, I can teach you! Although I have only practiced for a few months, it should be enough for me to be your teacher."

It has now been over a month since he Xun'er arrived at Xiao family. The incident in the back Mountain had could be said to have completely exposed Xiao Feng in front of her.

Although that meeting wasn't very pleasant for Xiao Feng, it bought the two sides closer.

When two people get to know each other's secret, it brings them closer. Although Xun'er hadn't told her secret, as someone who had read the novel, Xiao Feng knew it.

So a mutual understanding formed between them. Xun'er will not ask Xiao Feng's secret and Xiao Feng will not ask hers.

Over the past month, two people naturally becomes friends who kept each others' secret.

'Can't do it.' Xun'er thought recalling the pain she feels almost every night.

It was so exhausting before I even started practicing. What would happen if I had to replenish my fighting spirit? I can only wait for my body to grow and my meridians to be strong enough before I can start practicing.

Xun'er shook her head, didn't answer, and changed the subject casually: "Just now... Is it okay for us to run away like this?"

"Hey~ it's okay. They won't mind. They just like to play!"

Xiao Feng pointed his thumb at his back: "Besides, it was Xiao Mei who suggested playing hide and seek. She didn't say we couldn't hide somewhere far away."

"No, I mean... Won't they be angry?" Xun'er twisted her fingers together, not knowing what to say.

Unlike when she hide from everyone from the start, this time, she joined their play but ditched them halfway. This kind of backstab made her feel like she had deceived them. Her concious hurt.

"What are you saying?"

Xiao Feng poked her forehead with his finger and said, "It's okay to be a bit naughty while playing. Don't be serious all the time!"

So cute.

Before, she teased him, now he could also tease her.

…

"Surrender! Hand over everything in the back, and we will consider letting you go."

In the endless yellow sand, a team of people escorting goods was surrounded.

The robbers were led by a fighter. The fighting spirit emanating from his body was quite conspicuous among the crowd, so his star rating should be quite high.

"What to do?"

The middle-aged man wearing an eye mask looked very panicked. He grabbed the young man next to him and asked, "What should we do in this situation?"

He looked so desperate that he tried every possible means as if he were afraid that others would not see that he was a coward.

"Hey, that one-eyed guy! I think you are scared out of your mind. You went to such a young boy for help. Don't you have anyone under your command?" The leader of the team grinned and laughed, causing his subordinates to tease him.

The escort team seemed powerless and dared not refute. They could only stand there with a frustrated look on their faces.

"Alas... this is all I can do."

The middle-aged man waved his hand and said, "Push a cart out first and let the bosses check the goods."

"Yeah." The young man nodded.

"Hehe, you're smart!"

The fighter leading the team should have a fire attribute. He stepped forward and lifted the cloth, then waved his hand as if in protest. The hot breath swept in front of the young man, scaring him so much that he suddenly shrank back.

"You coward!" The fighter sneered.

"Yes, that's right. You taught me a lesson." Unexpectedly, the young man nodded, pulled hard with his hand, turned around, and ran away.

Laugh...

There was a faint sound from under the curtain.

Oh no, it's a trap!

"Boom--"

The charred figure flew backward.

The young man wondered how his father, Xiao Zhan, and others were doing at home.

This young man was none other than Xiao Ding. The eldest son of the family.

...

"As expected, Brother Xiao Feng is a gentle person" Xun'er blinked her eyes, feeling a little expectant.

Compared to the strange and cold interpersonal relationships at home, she still prefers the atmosphere of the Xiao family.

Everyone here is very friendly and warm.

"Okay, it's done."

Xiao Feng walked quickly into the pavilion and sat down, patting the bench: "Rest here for a while, and let me check on your condition."

"Physical examination?" Xun'er tilted her head.

"You may not believe it, but I am an Alchemist. That Medicinal liquid before, it was refined by me!" Xiao Feng said slowly then paused as if waiting for her response.

"Alchemist..." Xun'er's eyes turned QAQ? Very cute.

She had merely thought that Xiao Feng was accepted by some hidden reclusive figure and that medicine was given to him by his master.

As a result he said the Alchemist was himself.

How old is he? How can he refined pills? Didn't the Elders say one requires extensive practice and knowledge to refine Alchemy.

"Hehe, your reaction is so cute." Xiao Feng laughed.

Little Nizi, you took advantage of me that day, now you have your day too.

"So, let me check your body... ahem."

Xiao Feng was a little embarrassed: "I mean let do a checkup. Maybe I have a way to solve your problem."

He wasn't Xiao Yan. He could just say that to a cute Loli.

It's useless...

Xun'er became a little depressed when her physical condition was mentioned.

Her father had mentioned that the flames would hurt anyone who tried to help her. Even cause permanent trauma.

"No need. I can handle it myself."

"Hand."

"Just reach out your hand."

Seeing her so uncooperative, Xiao Feng grabbed Xun'er's wrist, and the fighting spirit in his body flowed through his blood vessels.

[P.S.: fighting spirit is the English of Dou Qi ]

Xun'er subconsciously wanted to break free but she found Xiao Feng's hands were like clumps of iron. It was then that she remembered that the guy in front of looked human but his body was completely inhuman. Ling Ying had even praised him saying his body was even stronger than Dou Shi under normal circumstances.

"Leave the rest to me. Stop being whosy-washy."

As Xiao Feng spoke, the fighting spirit that was divided into threads by tiny blood vessels seeped into Xun'er's arm.

The relatively thin fighting spirit was quickly consumed as soon as it entered the body, just like pushing against rocks and soil, every inch of progress was extremely difficult.

Within a few breaths, Xiao Feng felt the emptiness.

Unlike the consumption during previous practice, this time it was more like a real "loss".

"It feels strange..."

It is like a silk cocoon whose silk thread is pulled out bit by bit, leaving only an empty frame still running.

Although it was consumed in the past, the fighting spirit in the body still circulated as a whole, which was equivalent to a water canal that was constantly circulating, but the amount of water was constantly decreasing.

However, this simple expenditure of energy feels difficult to sustain, just like exhaling, and the more you exhale, the more painful it becomes.

However, the problems Xiao Feng encountered were not limited to this.

A burning sensation gradually emerged in the palm of my hand. It was not obvious at first, but as the fighting spirit continued to be input, the burning sensation began to spread and intensify.

It was like being wrapped in the steam from boiling water, or licked by the flames of fire.

"Brother Xiao Feng!" Xun'er spoke urgently, grabbing Xiao Feng's wrist and trying to break free.

She clearly felt that the flames were restless, and the heat flow was alarmed by the fighting spirit, and it continued to fill her arms as if it were defending its own territory.

"Don't move, it's okay."

Xiao Feng held it tighter: "Trust my judgment~"

This is not a show of strength. Although the heat flow spreading along the arm is obvious, it does not cause any actual harm.

If he didn't know what was hidden in Xun'er's body, he would probably think that this was a normal reaction to the output of fighting spirit.

And there was another reason why he chose to continue.

Xiao Feng touched his chest and felt the surging blood inside his body.

The Chaos Body Tempering Art operated autonomously.

Under the soul's vision, the heat spreading in the arm seemed to be guided, along the fighting spirit in the blood vessels, to circulate in the whole body and be absorbed by his body bit by bit.

Xiao Feng's eyelids twitched: "You're not a picky eater."

The heat flow coming out of Xun'er's body is being absorbed by his body and strengthening his body!

When Xiao Feng thought about the strange fire, which was a nuclear bomb placed so close to him, he felt that his life was somewhat uncertain, and the kaleidoscope in his mind was looming.

All I can say is that in the original book, ignorance is bliss.

If the strange fire really riots, even if only one ten-thousandth of it leaks out, it would be a strange firestorm that would sweep across the Xiao family, and even the ground would be scraped off.

"However, it can be regarded as a blessing in disguise."

Touching his chest, Xiao Feng felt like he had won the lottery.

The flame inside Xun'er was among the top five strange fires on the continent. Even if he absorbed very little energy from it, it would be enough to push his cultivation and physical fitness to an outrageous level.

This is like taking Holy Medicine in the Covering Sky World. Even a drop could help you be reborn and transform, increasing cultivation.

But this way, maybe he will have to follow the example of the original Xiao Yan.

By warming Xun'er's meridians, the energy of the strange fire that invaded her body was drawn away and used to practice Chaos Body Refining Art.

"But do you want to do this?"

Xiao Feng felt he wouldn't be able to wash himself even if he jumped into the Yellow River after doing this.

If Xun'er knew that someone whose mental age was more than 20 did this, she might even hate him.

And this is a lolicon.

Though a loli has a soft voice, soft body, and easy to push and he also likes lolis, Xiao Feng thinks he is still a descent person, not a beast. His liking is pure spiritual appreciation for cute things. There is no need to pour evil desires into it.

Rather than forcing yourself, it's better to wait until they grow up.

Of course if a legal Loli, it's another story.

But when he looked at cute loli Xun'er and thought of the improvement in his strength, Xiao Feng's concious struggled.

In the end, he sighed.

He couldn't be a beast no matter what.

If things truly came down to it, he would rather explain everything clearly than take advantage in secret.

Xiao Feng felt his otaku soul would condemn him to death if he took advantage of Xun'er.

"Brother Xiao Feng?"

"Just call me Xiao Feng or Feng gege like Mei'er. Using my full name seems strange." Xiao Feng regained his concentration and withdrew his hand, "Do you feel better now?"

Xun'er's eyes darkened.

It's useful, but it's almost useless...

It's just the difference between frying in a frying pan and roasting over a fire, and only this arm has changed.

She stood up, turned around, and took two steps: "I feel much better."

"I'm treating your arms, not your legs." Xiao Feng pinched both sides of her face and pulled them back and forth, "If there's anything wrong, just tell me the truth. If you keep doing this, I won't play with you anymore!"

"Chatter."

"Here are some snacks. You can eat them if you're hungry at night. Remember to rinse your mouth."

Xiao Feng kept nagging like an old woman: "If you feel any pain or adverse effect later, please tell me. I will do my best to solve it and don't worry, I will find a way for you to practice."

"Normally, you can just buy anything you need from the Xiao Family market. If you are in any trouble, you can just tell me."

"Also..."

Xun'er listened carefully to each one.

Halfway through listening, she suddenly raised his hand to interrupt Xiao Feng's chatter: "Brother, so many places require money, will my salary be enough? How should I arrange it?"

"Hey, this~ Wait for me to see..."

As he spoke, Xiao Feng took down the small notebook hanging by the door and flipped through it: "You haven't started practicing yet, so it should be three... huh?"

The originally casual look suddenly became straight.

Xiao Feng stared at the number, counting it one by one: "My god——"

"What's wrong, very little?"

Xun'er suddenly felt a little nervous. She had never experienced this feeling before in the ancient clan.

A lady from an ancient family would worry about her pocket money. Who would believe it if I told others about it?

"No, no."

Xiao Feng felt his mouth dry and his words incoherent. He didn't know how to express himself, so he could only look at Xun'er with an extremely complicated look: "You should be the Patriarch's biological child, right?"

"Ah?"

"It's so unfair! Why is your salary so high?!"

Xiao Feng left, taking his broken heart with him.

No need to think, it's a baby Patriarch picked up.

Xun'er's monthly salary alone was ten times as much as his, and the accommodation fee was paid by someone with his salary.

Isn't this gap too big?!

His share also includes a training allowance, which accounts for a full 50%!

Just pick up the baby~

Fortunately, he still has the system and doesn't feel that bad.

Xun'er sat on the edge of the bed and flipped through the small notebook, on which was written her name, room number, and monthly salary.

There is a notebook like this one hanging in every room where people live. From the clan leader Xiao Zhan to the old man sweeping the floor at the door, no one can escape it.

The names in the first part of the book were blacked out with ink. All that could be seen were the salaries that had been revised repeatedly, and the very few expenses at the end. On average, there were only two or three times a month, which was very frugal.

The second part had a folded corner, and from here on, it began to write about Xiao Feng's daily income and expenditure.

Xun'er flipped through the pages with great curiosity.

"Miss, it's time to go to bed." A ball of black mist condensed in the corner of the room.

"Wait a minute... We don't have anything like this at home." Xun'er looked at it intently.

Reading them one by one, it feels like seeing other people's lives with your own eyes.

Ling Ying sighed: "Miss, our clan has this kind of thing."

"Ah? But I've never seen it before!"

Xun'er was immediately surprised: "Or do you usually not show it to others?"

Ling Ying knew that he had said something wrong, and after hesitating for a moment, he continued speaking.

"There is something called merit in the tribe. Everyone needs this support to receive supplies and buy and sell things. It is considered a necessary thing for the tribe to distribute."

"Then I...?"

"Miss, you are different."

"Why is it different?"

"You are Miss~"

Ling Ying smiled bitterly and said, "Please don't ask any more questions. This is all I can say. If you continue, you will be punished."

Xun'er's hand holding the book trembled: "But I am also a lady here?"

"It's different here...and it's not that different." Ling Ying sighed.

When he first discovered this thing, he looked through it and was surprised at how low Xiao Zhan's salary was.

But no matter what, privilege is privilege after all.

"Not that...different…" Xun'er continued to flip through the pages and saw a number much larger than Xiao Feng's written behind her name
