Julius Shaw snapped back to reality and quickly let go of Nancy Allen.
He asked worriedly, "Nancy, what's wrong? Are you feeling uncomfortable anywhere? Don't be afraid, I won't force you."
Nancy shook her head. She wasn't uncomfortable anywhere, she just felt something was off.
Nancy's eyes seemed a bit unfocused, as if her thoughts had wandered far away.
Julius Shaw noticed the look in Nancy's eyes and spoke with slight anxiety, "Nancy, please never leave me, okay?"
Nancy's mind paused for a moment before she came back to her senses and replied, "Okay."
After answering, she turned her head slightly to look at Julius Shaw and asked confusedly, "Godfery Shaw, are you feeling uneasy? What's making you uneasy?"
Julius Shaw opened his mouth but never managed to speak, only gently shaking his head.
It wasn't just unease; in this torturous interaction, he was even feeling fear.
He wanted to find something different from before to break this fear.
