A month passed by since the war between the sister nations, Kruz and Kreiss against the nation of Haru ended. The Imperial Nation of Haru had lost the war after its leader, The Second Prince had surrendered. Thus, signing a temporary peace treaty involving the three nations in order to maintain truce.
An international diet discussing the aftermath and indemnities was going to be held at the capital of Kruz.
"It has been a month, hasn't it? Peace is great", a Kruzian spoke to another fellowman of his nation as he was sipping on the teacup he was holding.
"Yeah, it really is great.", the latter replied, continuing, "I just hope everyone begins to get along with each without any prejudice."
"Me too."
The both of them laughed.
The conversation was taking place at a cafe in the city of Leon. A city existing in the south of the nation which many Kruzians of the South take pride residing in. Despite it not being the capital, many Kruzians love the city.
In a road nearby, a scream could be heard.
"What's going on?", a pedestrian cried.
That scream was followed by many, which came from multiple directions. The sky turned to an eerie colour, becoming cloudy which was looked upon by many. People were in panic. The situation wasn't very peaceful, at the very best.
Then, from the sky did a grotesque and a humanoid giant slowly fell down. No, it was slowly forming midair with nebulous-type flowing ends as it was falling. It was slowly landing on the road beneath as the people there evacuated from the spot it was about to fall on.
"Ahhhh!"
People started to panic more.
"What is that?"
Then, amidst the crowd, quite a few a people started trembling. Some fell down on the spot while trembling, while some faced the same phenomenon while standing. Some began to throw up while some began to feel extreme pain in their vitals, as if they were being stabbed with heated sharp objects into them.
This phenomenon didn't occur within a few people but to that of a majority.
Slowly, people began to exhibit a change in their physical and mental state. Losing their sanity and succumbing to insanity, these people started to scream. Unable to bear the pain they were experiencing, they felt their conscious mind slowly slipping out a losing to nothing more than an insane instinct as their body was transforming.
They were transforming into beings which couldn't be called 'Human'.
Meanwhile, in the place called the 'CUBE'.
Aarya desperately survived in that place, killing those grotesque beings.
A month had passed by since he was trapped within that place. Aarya might have used [Spatial] to escape from that place but that ability has a terrible drawback. Without knowing the place he was in exactly, [Spatial] cannot be used for long distances.
At the end of the day, despite having this ablity called [Spatial] which is individual to the people of Kruz, he himself was a normal human. He needs to be fed to stay alive. He needs rest, he also requires some needs to stay alive properly. It was a true miracle that he was sane.
The place called the 'CUBE' was in tatters due to Aarya.
He didn't know about which part of the 'CUBE' he was in. He just went on, killed every being there, whether it was a human or one of those grotesque humanoid beings. He was walking through a corridor in the 'CUBE' was looking at the transparent window to his right. He could observe marine life out from the window. As he was looking out from the window, another of those beings spotted him.
The being had begun to charge towards him. The moment the distance between them was near to that of an inch, Aarya disappeared. The being was shocked to see him disappear. Then, it felt strong pressure on its neck and the back. Aarya appeared right at its back, the being which was twice his height.
Due to the height difference, Aarya easily held on it. He opened his mouth and took a strong bite on the left side of its neck. His teeth dug into flesh and tore the part. He tore out the part of his flesh as its skin and nerves started to protrude out from the torn part. He flipped back as the being died and fell down.
"Disgusting", Aarya spoke coldly after swallowing its flesh and wiping the blood which was on his mouth.
Then, Aarya covered his mouth, trying not to throw up. He swallowed back the stuff he was going to vomit. His mouth was filled the taste of gastric acid (hydrochloric acid).
Aarya began to express pain, placing his hands on his forehead.
"Don't succumb", Aarya forced himself.
He could then hear a whistle tune slowly echoing throughout his mind. He took a deep breath as he listened to that tune. Making a face of visible self-control, he exhaled heavily.
Aarya then, held his face on his hands and began to laugh eerily, pointing his right hand forward.
At the end of his fingertips, a dark reddish nebulous-type particles slowly appeared.
"I've found it."
Meanwhile, at the control room of the 'CUBE'. The people in there were restless. Richard Rowers, the War General was also among the people but he was calm. He wasn't the only person who was calm, the guards there were also the same.
"Give me status report."
"Modified Kruzians and Haruans, a.k.a. RIORS have been led to other parts of the CUBE where other researchers and guards were there."
"What about Aarya?"
"He was the one who led them there."
"What?"
"Not only that, he also vanished into thin air."
"He might be somewhere, use the backup cameras."
"Even the advanced thermal cameras are unable to detect his presence."
"What?", Richard Rowers was shocked.
"As I told you, he disappeared into plain sight. These RIORS are wreaking havoc within the CUBE."
Then, a scream reverberated within the room they were in. Everyone present in the room looked at the direction the scream came from. Then, many other screams followed the first one with people beginning to disappear into plain sight.
"What is going on?"
The person who was talking with Richards spoke. That moment, out of nowhere he lost his right eye.
"Ah-h-h-h!", He squealed.
Then, a vertical line of crimson red floating particles opened up in plain air. Two hands emerged from it, tearing it open and turning into a distorted 'portal-like' structure. From the portal, a person then emerged.
The person was none other than Aarya. He emerged from the 'portal-like' space tearing away the eye of the person in front of him with his bare hands and dropping it behind him. Making a scummy expression on his face, he smiled.
He tilted his head to his right as the ends of his mouth opened widely, lifting the middle finger of his left hand. Those unevenly open eyes with constricted pupils, barely any life. Retaining the bare amount of sanity left with him, Aarya exclaimed.
"Yo!"
