Chapter 6 - Born of No Choice

Shreyash understood it instinctively.

The moment the System finalized his data, there was no room for choice.

He was the first human to cross Level 5.

That single fact had pushed him beyond the boundaries of normal evolution.

> [Unique Condition Fulfilled: First Human to Cross Level 5]

[Species Assigned: Half Primordial Vampire]

Half.

An incomplete existence.

A forced evolutionary state imposed not by his will, but by the System itself. He realized then that this species was not something one chose—it was something the world imposed on anomalies.

The System continued its explanation.

Half Primordial Vampire — Inherent Powers

Unlike other evolvers, Shreyash's abilities were not dependent on Supreme Qi, spells, contracts, or external forces. They were absolute abilities, restrained only by his own growth.

He possessed Absolute Pull—the power to draw anyone or anything toward himself. Not through Supreme Qi. Not through magic. Not through gravity or physical force. It was an existence-level pull. Living beings, weapons, objects, energy, and even certain conceptual constructs could be dragged toward him, as long as his level and foundation were sufficient. The only limitations were his current level, the stability of his foundation, and his ability to withstand the strain of his own power.

His second ability, Fusion Authority, was far more dangerous. He could fuse anything—bloodlines, inherent abilities, Origins, souls, even incompatible or opposing existences. The System made one thing brutally clear: this power ignored natural laws. However, there was a condition. Fusion was possible only with enemies he had killed and completely defeated.

Then came the condition that sealed his fate.

> [Evolution Mission Pending]

[Trigger Condition: Reach Level 10]

[Mission Objective: Kill a Level 30 Monster]

A chill ran down Shreyash's spine. A Level 30 monster was not meant to be hunted—it was meant to erase cities from the map.

> [Mission Reward: Completion of Evolution into Primordial Vampire]

Impossible for anyone else.

But not for him.

The System provided clarity on the hierarchy governing this new world.

Ranks were divided as follows: F (Levels 1–10), E (11–25), D (26–40), C (41–55), B (56–70), A (71–85), and S (86–100). Ranks F to S were collectively known as Planetary Ranks, with Rank S evolvers capable of destroying continents with ease. Beyond this lay Demon Rank and Demon Lords—but the System stopped there. Primordial beings were not bound by this hierarchy. They existed outside it.

Power progression for most involved the evolution of Body, Origin, and Soul, all fueled by Supreme Qi. Lower ranks focused on survival and physical enhancement, mid ranks began interacting with Laws, and higher ranks integrated those Laws directly into their existence. Shreyash, however, was different. His abilities did not rely on Supreme Qi at all, making him an irregularity even among evolvers.

While Shreyash absorbed these truths, the world outside was already collapsing. Across the NILS campus, portals tore open without warning—lecture halls turned into slaughter zones, hostels into feeding grounds. Students screamed as monsters poured out, goblins and warped beasts ripping through crowds. A few awakened Systems and fought back in panic, but most died before they could even understand what was happening. Blood stained classrooms that once spoke of law, justice, and order. Beyond the campus, Mumbai descended into chaos as portals erupted on highways and intersections, freezing traffic mid-movement. Cars crashed, civilians were trapped, and creatures tore through crowds while desperate awakenings lit up the city in flashes of violence. Some survived. Most didn't.

The disaster did not stop there—it spread like a plague. Across India, major cities collapsed within hours as communication networks failed, military bases were overwhelmed, and ports and airports fell silent. The Indian Navy detected spatial anomalies across the oceans, but responses came too late. Globally, the world burned—Tokyo vanished beneath monster hordes, New York fractured into urban warzones, Europe splintered into isolated survival zones, and entire regions ceased to exist overnight. Governments fell faster than they could react. Some nations were erased before dawn. Above it all, the System continued its cold announcements.

> [Tutorial Phase: Active]

[Human Survival Probability: Rapidly Declining.

In the silent space, Shreyash clenched his fists.

He was no longer just a survivor.

He was a forced anomaly.

A Half Primordial Vampire—unfinished, unstable, and growing.

And somewhere in this ruined world, a Level 30 monster was waiting.
