[Tenjou Yuuya]
By the time Yuuya got home— The sky had already darkened.
"…I'm back."
The house was quiet, just like always but somehow— It didn't feel the same anymore. He set his things down and headed straight for the kitchen.
"…I should eat first."
Cooking was a simple routine familiar; he moved efficiently, preparing a quick meal without much thought. But even here— He noticed the difference: his body moved smoother, faster and more precisely.
"…This really is a different body…"
Skill [Cooking] acquired.
A short while later— He sat down and ate.
"…Good."
Simple but satisfying after finishing, Yuuya leaned back slightly.
"…Alright."
His eyes shifted toward the door, the one that changed everything.
"…Time to get serious."
Moments later— He stepped through the air, changing instantly cool densely alive back in the other world Yuuya stood still for a moment, taking it in.
"…Feels more real every time."
Then— He reached into his [Item Box]. One by one— Weapons appeared.
The Omni-Sword.
The Absolute Spear.
The Death Scythe.
The Formless Bow.
And more— All laid out before him.
"…Guess it's time to actually use these."
He picked up the sword first light perfectly balanced.
"…Feels natural."
Then— A notification appeared.
[Swordsmanship: 1]:: Skills to handle swords. The numbers represent proficiency, with a highest value of 10.
"…Oh?"
He switched weapons
Spear.
[Spearmanship: 1]
Scythe.
[Scythe Technique: 1]
Fists.
[Hand-to-Hand Combat Technique: 1]
Bow.
[Archery: 1]
One after another— He tested them touched them moved with them each time— A new skill appeared.
[Whip Technique: 1]
[Axe Technique: 1]
[Hammer Technique: 1]
[Staff Technique: 1]
[Club Technique: 1]
Yuuya paused.
"…So just using them gives me skills…"
Then—
[Ding]
You have met the required conditions integrating all martial arts skills— You have acquired:
[True Martial Art: 1]
Yuuya's eyes widened.
"…What?"
A strange sensation flowed through his body not just knowledge— But understanding instinct connection.
[True Martial Art]:: A state that can only be reached by those who have learned all weapons and hand-to-hand combat arts. You can master all weapons and hand-to- hand combat.
"…This is…"
Yuuya clenched his hand slightly. The feeling— Was completely different from before.
"…I get it now."
He picked up the sword again this time— His stance changed naturally effortlessly no hesitation no awkwardness just— Perfect form.
"…So this is real mastery…"
A faint smile appeared.
"…Then let's test it."
Yuuya stepped forward with a weapon in hand, body ready and mind clear for the first time— He wasn't just reacting, he was fighting. Looking up at the night sky, Yuuya realized just how late it had gotten.
"…It's already this dark?"
Surprisingly— he didn't feel physically tired at all. His body still felt light. Energized. Like he could keep moving for hours without issue.
"…These stats are ridiculous…"
But even so— his mind was exhausted by everything that had happened today—the other world, the fight, the transformations, Kaori, the new skills— It all finally began catching up to him. Yuuya let out a slow breath.
"…Yeah. I should sleep."
Heading back inside the Door, he stopped near the bathroom.
"…Might as well shower first."
Warm water poured down over him, washing away sweat, dirt, and the lingering tension from the day. For the first time since the transformation— Yuuya truly looked at himself and he froze.
"…That's… me?"
The reflection staring back at him barely looked human. His body had become perfectly sculpted—lean, athletic, and powerful without appearing bulky. Defined muscle covered his frame naturally, every line sharp and balanced like it had been carved by design itself his abdomen was especially ridiculous.
"…An eight-pack… seriously?"
Even his posture had changed from confident, stable, strong; his metallic gray eyes seemed almost unreal beneath damp black hair, carrying a sharpness that naturally drew attention and his face— It was impossibly refined, the kind of appearance that would make people stare without realizing it.
"…No wonder everyone kept looking at me…"
Yuuya ran a hand through his wet hair, still struggling to process it. Everything about him had changed, not just stronger, not just healthier, completely different.
"…This world really changed my life…"
For a moment, he simply stared at his reflection in silence, the steam slowly filling the room around him. Then— A small smile formed.
"…Guess I'll just have to get used to it."
After drying off and getting dressed, Yuuya headed toward the bedroom. The moment he laid down— His body relaxed instantly, mental exhaustion finally overtook him, his eyes slowly closed. And before long— Yuuya fell asleep.
Morning light filtered softly through the windows of the cabin for the first time in what felt like forever— Yuuya woke up feeling completely refreshed.
"…Mm…"
Then—
Knock. Knock. Knock.
A loud sound echoed from the front door. Yuuya blinked slowly.
"…Huh?"
Another knock followed.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
"…Who would even—"
Half awake, he pushed himself out of bed and stretched lightly before walking toward the entrance even after sleeping, his body still felt absurdly light.
"…This still feels unreal."
Running a hand through his hair, Yuuya opened the front door and outside stood a delivery worker beside several large boxes stacked neatly together.
"…Delivery for Tenjou Yuuya?"
Yuuya stared for a moment then remembered.
"…Oh. Right."
The books, the clothes, everything he bought yesterday.
"Please sign here."
"…Yeah."
After signing quickly, the worker gave a polite bow before Yuuya looked down at the mountain of packages.
"…That's a lot."
One by one, he carried them inside effortlessly, what normally would've been heavy felt almost weightless now.
"…I really did buy a ridiculous amount…"
Still—
A small smile formed on his face excitement anticipation because inside these boxes— Was knowledge of new skills more ways to grow stronger. Yuuya crouched beside the first package and opened it. Books filled the box almost completely with martial arts manuals and weapon guides, combat theory and different fighting styles from all over the world.
"…Perfect."
His eyes sharpened slightly.
"…Time to start learning."
About two hours passed in silence. The living room floor had completely disappeared beneath scattered books, notes, and opened manuals.
Yuuya sat in the center of it all, flipping through pages at a speed that should've been impossible at first, he tried reading normally. But only a few minutes in—
[Ding]
You have acquired the skill: [Fast Reader]
[Fast Reader] :: Greatly increases reading speed and comprehension ability.
"…Of course there's a skill for this."
After that—
Everything changed, pages blurred beneath his fingers, entire chapters were absorbed in moments. Martial arts theory, footwork, joint locks, body movement sword techniques, spear forms weapon transitions and even combat psychology.
And with every new concept— Skill updated.
[True Martial Art: 2]
The more he read— the more naturally everything connected inside his head, not just knowledge. Understanding application Yuuya stood suddenly, mimicking movements from one of the books. A shift in stance, a turn of the hips, a strike.
"…Oh."
It flowed perfectly like his body already knew what to do. The effects of [True Martial Art] made the process terrifyingly efficient. Every technique he learned immediately integrated itself into his instincts. Even ideas from movies and anime he remembered suddenly became more realistic.
"…If I combine this footwork with spear range…"
His eyes sharpened.
"…Then I could attack while staying completely outside most opponents' reach."
Another idea formed then another and another way to use the Great Sage's weapons. Strategies, combinations, weaknesses, possibilities. By the time he finished the first box— Yuuya finally leaned back against the couch.
"…Alright."
A long breath escaped him.
"…I'm done reading for now."
Even with [Fast Reader], mentally processing this much information at once was exhausting; his gaze shifted toward the remaining unopened boxes.
"…I'll save those for later."
One by one, he stored them inside his [Item Box] . The room instantly cleared. Then— Yuuya stood, his eyes slowly moved toward the door, the one leading back to the other world.
"…Reading's one thing."
A faint smile appeared.
"…Now it's time to actually practice."
Without hesitation— he stepped toward the door once more ready to test everything he had learned. Stepping outside the cabin, Yuuya made his way into the open field surrounding the house. The morning air was cool, carrying the scent of grass and earth.
"…Alright."
He reached into his [Item Box]. In one hand— the Omni-Sword appeared in the other— the Absolute Spear even now, just holding them sent a strange feeling through him, power, weight. Presence. Yuuya took a slow breath.
Then—
He moved the sword cut cleanly through the air, a smooth horizontal slash then another. Footwork followed naturally behind it, his body moving almost instinctively as techniques from the books replayed themselves inside his mind.
Step turn strike the spear came next its reach felt incredible Yuuya spun it experimentally before thrusting forward. The movement flowed far smoother than before.
"…I can actually use this now…"
Time passed quickly nearly an hour later— sweat coated his body as he continued moving through forms and techniques across the field. The grass beneath his feet had been torn apart from repeated movement. Yuuya exhaled sharply, adjusting his grip on the spear.
"…This feels completely different from yesterday."
Back then, he was mostly relying on raw stats and instinct now— He could feel real improvement. Proper angles, weight transfer and control even combining movements together was becoming easier.
He shifted stances instantly— Sword disappearing, spear thrusting forward a fluid transition.
"…Not bad."
A small grin appeared on his face for the first time— It actually felt like training, not just overpowering things.
Then—
Grrrrrrrrr…
Yuuya froze, a loud growling noise echoed from his stomach.
"…Seriously?"
He lowered the spear slowly only now realizing how hungry he was.
"…Guess training burns more energy than I thought."
With a sigh, he rested the spear against his shoulder.
"…I should eat before I collapse."
The weapons vanished back into his [Item Box] , turning away from the field, Yuuya headed back toward the cabin. And beyond it— the door leading home.
"…Breakfast first."
Because even with absurd power— he was still human enough to get hungry.
