"Welcome!"
A saleswoman in uniform approached with a beaming smile, her gaze subtly sweeping over Tan Xing.
"Would you like me to introduce you to our new products?"
she asked with a smile, her tone professional yet friendly.
Tan Xing, however, didn't even glance at the weapons displayed in the showcase, and went straight to the point:
"Hello, I'm looking for Yu Shasha. Is she here?"
"Miss Shasha?"
The saleswoman's smile froze for a moment, then became exceptionally respectful:
"Miss Yu hasn't arrived yet. Do you have an appointment with her?"
"Yes, I have." Tan Xing replied succinctly.
The saleswoman's attitude immediately became even more respectful:
"Then I'll take you to the VIP room to rest for a bit. I'll invite Miss Yu over as soon as she arrives."
Tan Xing nodded slightly, inwardly sighing:
Yu Shasha has only been interning for a few days, yet she's already being addressed as "Miss Yu"?
Xuanwu Heavy Industry truly lives up to its reputation as an industry leader; even their respect for interns is evident.
He was about to follow the sales assistant inside when a clear, melodious voice suddenly rang out from outside the store…
"Tan Xing! I'm here!"
The boy's lips unconsciously curled into a smile. Turning his head, he saw two beautiful young women rushing into the store.
The girl in the lead had bright eyes and white teeth, and a radiant smile; it was none other than Yu Shasha.
"Have you been waiting long?"
Yu Shasha asked breathlessly, her face still flushed from running.
Tan Xing shook his head and smiled, "Just arrived. And this is…?"
He noticed that the girl beside Yu Shasha was secretly sizing him up.
"This is my best friend, Chen Lu!" Yu Shasha introduced enthusiastically.
Tan Xing greeted her with a smile, then got to the point:
"Yu, that knife you mentioned…"
"Oh, right!"
Yu Shasha turned to the sales assistant and smiled.
"Sister Wang, could you please bring me that discounted 'Black Thunder' sword?"
The sales assistant looked surprised:
"'Black Thunder' on sale?"
She saw Yu Shasha's wink and immediately understood. Her gaze swept over Tan Xing, and she smiled:
"Okay, I'll go to the warehouse to get it right away."
Watching the sales assistant's departing figure, Tan Xing felt a surge of excitement:
"Thank you so much, Yu Shasha, for letting me get such a great deal."
"Don't mention it!"
Yu Shasha's eyes sparkled: "I'll let you know if there are any other discounted items in the store in the future! Okay?"
Chen Lu, standing to the side, silently gave her best friend a thumbs up, thinking to herself:
You, Yu Shasha, if you used this kind of cunning on martial arts, would we still be at the bottom of the class together?
Tan Xing took in the two women's subtle movements. Although he was puzzled, he still smiled and nodded:
"That's great! Isn't that too much trouble?"
"No trouble at all! No trouble at all! It's only right~ I'm counting on you to help me boost my sales!"
Yu Shasha said with a grin, her eyes curving into crescents.
Just then, a sharp shout, like a thunderclap, boomed in from outside the shop...
"Mad dog! Do you even remember your grandpa?!"
The voice arrived before the person.
The voice was filled with undisguised fighting spirit.
Upon hearing this, Tan Xing's lips curled into a helpless, bitter smile:
"How did I run into this jinx..."
He turned to look at the door and saw a tall, imposing young man striding in.
The man carried a pair of gleaming short halberds on his shoulders, his tight-fitting clothes highlighting his muscular physique, his gaze like lightning, fixed directly on Tan Xing.
"Haha! What wind blew Young Master Yu here?"
Tan Xing chuckled, his tone neither humble nor arrogant.
Yu Feng completely ignored his teasing, taking a few steps closer to Tan Xing and repeating, word by word,
"Mad Dog! Long time no see!"
Seeing the tense standoff between the two, Chen Lu shrank back in fright and quietly tugged at Yu Shasha's sleeve:
"Shasha...they're not going to fight, are they? Your brother looks so scary!"
Yu Shasha, far from being worried, patted her best friend's hand with a grin and whispered,
"They'll fight! They definitely will! My brother's been holding back for so long, just waiting for this day!"
"What's going on? This is the first time I've seen Yu Feng so excited...did they have a grudge before?"
Chen Lu couldn't help but ask in a low voice.
It's no wonder she was surprised. In her memory, Yu Feng was always the epitome of meticulousness, seriousness, and uprightness; he was either practicing martial arts at home or wielding a halberd in the training ground, seemingly unfazed even if the sky were to fall.
His current appearance, as if he wanted to pounce and bite someone, was completely unprecedented.
Yu Shasha, with a look of anticipation, laughed like a cat that had just stolen cream:
"It's more than just a holiday! My brother has never suffered such a loss at the hands of his peers since he was a child! Ever since
the last joint entrance exam of a hundred schools, Tan Xing has become his 'white moonlight'... He talks about him all the time, he even calls out his name in his sleep!"
"Huh!?"
Chen Lu's eyes widened instantly, her gaze darting back and forth between Tan Xing and Yu Feng. Unable to suppress her gossip, she lowered her voice and asked:
"Could it be... that Brother Yu Feng likes men?! Did Tan Xing dump him?"
Yu Shasha looked at her best friend's "tell me the details" expression and spat out a laugh:
"What are you thinking about all day?! Of course not!"
Just as Yu Shasha was about to elaborate, Yu Feng brandished his twin halberds, a cold light flashing in them, and coldly shouted:
"Mad dog, you won't leave this shop alive if I don't beat you up today!"
Tan Xing remained unfazed, gently pushing away the halberd that was almost touching his nose, a lazy smile still playing on his lips:
"Young Master Yu, I'm not as free as you. I have to rush off to earn money to make a living."
"Heh, you don't get to choose!"
Yu Feng's eyes flashed, his aura suddenly rising, and he was about to make a move.
Just then, Yu Shasha cried out anxiously,
"Brother! Are you crazy! Fighting in the store? Who's responsible if things get damaged! Are we even going to do business?!"
Yu Feng paused, but Tan Xing had already shaken his head with little interest:
"A fight won't happen. I don't have time for that.
Young Master Yu, is it really necessary to hold a grudge about the Hundred Schools Joint Examination? You were
the one who led people to ambush me first. I was all alone, and you chased me like a dog. Am I not allowed to fight back? There's no such logic in this world."
As he spoke, he turned his gaze to Yu Shasha, his tone becoming indifferent:
"Yu Shasha, I don't want the knife anymore. I eliminated you in the last joint examination, and today, in front of your brother, I sincerely apologize.
I really didn't expect that you were actually Yu Feng's sister.
What, did you deliberately lure me here today to give your brother an excuse to vent your anger?"
Upon hearing this, Yu Shasha immediately became anxious, her eyes slightly reddening:
"No! That's not what I meant! I just saw my brother has been thinking about you, and I wanted to arrange a meeting between you two to clear up the misunderstanding. I definitely didn't want to take my anger out on him!"
Seeing his sister so flustered she was almost incoherent, Yu Feng's anger surged. He glared at Tan Xing and said coldly,
"Mad dog! If you have a problem, come at me! Don't bite my sister!"
Tan Xing's gaze swept over Yu Shasha's anxious expression before returning to Yu Feng's face. He already understood.
But it didn't matter... He, Tan Xing, didn't care what Yu Shasha thought.
He had no intention of arguing any further, and simply nodded indifferently:
"Alright, it doesn't matter anymore. Goodbye."
With that, Tan Xing turned and walked towards the shop door.
Yu Feng's face was gloomy. He glanced at his younger sister, her eyes red and hesitant, and his heart softened. He sighed heavily and suddenly raised his voice:
"Mad Dog! Didn't you want to buy a knife? As long as you're willing to fight me, I'll have a master craftsman from Xuanwu Heavy Industries personally customize one for you! Our Xuanwu Heavy Industries' handcrafted weapons are highly sought after by all the major legions of the Federation!"
Tan Xing's steps abruptly stopped.
The next second, his entire demeanor seemed to change. He turned around instantly, a dazzling smile spreading across his face. He even exaggeratedly bent over, rubbing his hands together, and leaned closer to Yu Feng:
"Oh! Young Master Yu, are you serious? You're a man of your word!"
His change of expression was faster than flipping through a book, and he enthusiastically tried to liven things up:
"Why didn't you say so earlier! Come on, come on! You can choose any place, let's finish this quickly! But… I have a small condition."
"What condition?" Yu Shasha hurriedly interjected, her gaze towards Tan Xing filled with apology.
"Hehe, it's nothing..."
Tan Xing said with a smile,
"Since we're going to fight, if I win, I'll take that 'Black Thunder' sword I had my eye on for free... That's not too much to ask, is it?"
Upon hearing this, Yu Feng's lips curled into a cold and confident smile:
"Heh, as long as you win, not only 'Black Thunder,' but the entire 'Black Thunder series' is yours to choose from! A custom-made sword will also be yours!"
His eyes burned, his fighting spirit rising again, and he said, word by word:
"As long as you really have the ability to win!"
"Okay!"
Tan Xing immediately beamed and eagerly agreed, his impatient appearance making it seem as if he was afraid the other party would change his mind. Yu Feng
looked at the man's behavior, which had changed completely in an instant, and his lips twitched. He couldn't help but curse inwardly:
"His face changes faster than flipping through a book, he's got a real dog's face!"
"Who's in charge of the store!"
Yu Feng shouted towards the service counter.
Upon hearing this, the shop manager, who had been waiting nearby for some time, immediately put on a smile and jogged over.
"Young Master Yu, what are your orders?"
Yu Feng glanced at the slightly overweight, shrewd-looking middle-aged man and gave a brief order:
"Go open the testing room and lead us there."
"It's all prepared for you! This way, everyone!"
The shop manager hurriedly led the way, and the group quickly arrived at the testing room located on the third basement floor.
Even though he was somewhat prepared, Tan Xing couldn't help but gasp inwardly when he stepped inside.
The entire space was extremely spacious, with dozens of heavy iron stakes neatly arranged around the perimeter. The stakes were covered with cuts and impact dents of varying depths, clearly having undergone the brutal testing of various weapons.
The most eye-catching feature was the alloy fighting arena in the very center of the arena, built to Federation standards.
Below, Yu Shasha and Chen Lu nervously craned their necks, their eyes glued to the ring.
Chen Lu couldn't help but tug at Yu Shasha's sleeve, whispering,
"Shasha, who do you think will win between them?"
Yu Shasha's gaze followed Tan Xing's figure intently. She bit her lip and whispered,
"Although I want Tan Xing to win... I think my brother will. After all, he's our family's acknowledged genius!"
Just as she finished speaking...
"Come up!"
Yu Feng roared, wielding his twin halberds. He leaped onto the arena, landing gracefully. His halberd tips pointed directly at Tan Xing below, his fighting spirit surging.
Tan Xing shook his head helplessly at Yu Feng's impatient manner, casually pulled a training knife from the weapon rack, and leisurely strolled onto the stage, his lazy smile still on his face:
"Why bother? You'll be giving me this precious knife later, and you'll inevitably get a beating. It's not worth it."
"You fucking stinky mouth!!"
A fierce glint flashed in Yu Feng's eyes. Without another word, his internal energy erupted, revealing his peak Body Tempering Realm cultivation!
The twin halberds tore through the air with a piercing shriek, aiming straight for Tan Xing's vitals!
This attack was Yu Feng's complete lack of restraint!
However, facing such a fierce offensive, Tan Xing merely sighed softly.
The next moment, an aura several times more violent, condensed, and terrifying than Yu Feng's erupted from Tan Xing's body like a sleeping beast suddenly awakening!
Crimson blood energy burst forth from his body, forming a faint blood mist around him, and the temperature in the air suddenly soared!
"What?!"
Yu Feng's pupils shrank drastically, his arrogant expression freezing instantly, replaced by unbelievable shock!
He felt as if he had crashed into an invisible wall of energy, his twin halberds unable to advance an inch!
"Blood Condensation Realm! You actually broke through to the Blood Condensation Realm?!"
Yu Feng exclaimed in disbelief, his voice distorted with extreme shock.
He had cultivated diligently until now, breaking through to the peak of the Body Tempering Realm some time ago. He had subsequently studied the True Martial Stance several times, but unfortunately, he could only slightly connect with the Qi of Heaven and Earth, failing to draw Qi into his body and open his Qi Sea!
He knew all too well how difficult it was to break through to the Blood Condensation Realm!
And Tan Xing, the guy he had always considered his rival, had actually silently surpassed him?!
Below the stage, Yu Shasha and Chen Lu were even more astonished, their mouths agape, their eyes wide, as if they had witnessed something unbelievable.
Yu Shasha quickly covered her mouth to suppress the almost uttered gasp.
She looked at the young man on the stage, shrouded in a faint blood shadow, his aura becoming incredibly powerful, her heart pounding wildly.
She knew Tan Xing was strong, but she never expected him to be this strong!
The Blood Condensation Realm! He'd reached it so quickly!
Chen Lu was so shocked she instinctively took a half-step back, her small hand tightly gripping Yu Shasha's arm, her voice trembling:
"Shasha...that...that's Qi and Blood Penetration? He...he's a Blood Condensation Realm expert?!"
In the eyes of ordinary students like her, Yu Feng was already an extraordinary genius, someone to be looked up to! But now he'd been defeated in a single move!
In the blink of an eye, amidst the shock and disbelief of the three...
Tan Xing moved! He seemed to transform into a blurry, blood-red afterimage!
Everyone only saw a blur before their eyes, and heard a deafening clang of metal!
Then, they saw Yu Feng, who had charged forward with such ferocity, swept away by a blood-red blade, crashing uncontrollably into the dense iron stakes behind him!
Boom!!
A scene of chaos unfolded, with people and horses falling, and dust billowing everywhere!
Tan Xing had returned to his original spot sometime earlier, casually slinging his training sword over his shoulder. The terrifying aura emanating from his body had long since vanished, as if it had never existed.
He clicked his tongue, a "I knew it" expression on his face as he looked at the collapsed iron dummy pile:
"I told you so, why bother? You haven't even reached the Blood Condensation Realm, yet you dared to challenge me to a duel?"
His tone carried a hint of helpless mockery, as if his earth-shattering attack had been nothing more than a casual gesture.
Yu Feng abruptly rolled to his feet from the pile of collapsed iron dummy piles, his face alternating between pale and flushed, not from injury, but from sheer shock!
He had been instantly killed!
Below the stage, Yu Shasha and Chen Lu finally recovered from their extreme shock.
Yu Shasha looked at the composed Tan Xing on the stage, then at her brother's incredulous expression, her eyes filled with complex emotions—shock, admiration, and a strange mix of loss and joy.
She murmured, "He's really amazing..."
Chen Lu, still immersed in the terrifying aura and stunning strike, whispered,
"So...so powerful..."
The shopkeeper, sweating profusely, was horrified.
This seemingly ordinary young man was actually a genius at the Blood Condensation Realm! No wonder he dared to challenge Young Master Yu! His attitude became even more respectful, and he quickly tried to smooth things over with a smile:
"Young Master Yu, this young master's skills are extraordinary! I admire him greatly! The 'Black Thunder' series is ready, you see..."
Yu Feng's chest heaved violently as he stared intently at Tan Xing, his eyes filled with shock, resentment, and frustration, but ultimately, all these emotions transformed into an even more fervent fighting spirit.
He wasn't someone who couldn't accept defeat; on the contrary, the stronger the opponent, the more it fueled his fighting spirit!
He snorted heavily, slamming his twin halberds on the ground, his voice hoarse yet tinged with a hint of resignation:
"Fine! Blood Condensation Realm! You win! I admit defeat this time! I, Yu Feng, keep my word! You can choose any of the 'Black Thunder' swords! I'll arrange the custom-made knife too!"
Tan Xing's face instantly lit up with sunshine, his change of expression astounding once again:
"Oh, Young Master Yu, you're so generous! Thank you very much!"
He nimbly jumped off the stage, tossing the training knife back onto the weapon rack with fluid movements.
Yu Feng also jumped down, though he had lost, the fire in his eyes hadn't died down, but burned even brighter:
"Mad Dog, don't be so smug! Once I break through to the Blood Condensation Realm, I'll definitely come back to fight you!"
"I'm always ready, just remember to bring enough 'prize'." Tan Xing replied with a smile, the emphasis clearly on the last sentence.
Yu Feng's lips twitched again, forcing himself not to reply.
Yu Shasha quickly moved closer to Tan Xing, her face still flushed with excitement, and her eyes practically lit up when she looked at him.
"Tan Xing, Tan Xing, come and take a look at the 'Black Thunder' series! There are several models! I'll have my brother get you the best batch!" She secretly winked at Yu Feng.
Yu Feng sighed and waved to the shop manager, "Go, bring out all the Grade A forged 'Black Thunder' swords from the warehouse, let him choose."
The shop manager's eyes lit up at the mention of "Grade A forging," and his attitude became even more respectful: "Yes, yes, yes! Please come with me to the VIP room and have a seat. I'll go get them right away!"
In the testing room, Tan Xing looked at the five horizontal swords lined up before him.
The scabbards were jet black, yet faintly patterned with flowing clouds; they were cool to the touch, and their weight and proportions were perfect.
Especially the middle one, with a subtle lightning mark on the guard, clearly the best of the batch.
"This one," Tan Xing said without hesitation, pointing to the middle one.
Yu Feng glanced at it, somewhat admiring the guy's eye:
"You know your stuff, this is 'Black Thunder Swift,' the fastest and most ruthless one in this batch."
Tan Xing gripped the hilt and slowly drew the blade.
A dark, cold light flowed out, the blade seemingly absorbing light, its sharp aura causing the room temperature to drop several degrees.
"A fine blade!"
Tan Xing praised, casually twirling the blade, the sound of it cutting through the air sharp and brief.
Yu Shasha's eyes brightened as she watched Tan Xing intently admiring his beloved blade, and she seized the opportunity to say:
"Tan Xing, if there are any more promotions or... um, special offers in the store, I'll let you know, okay?"
Tan Xing sheathed the blade, in a great mood, and his impression of Yu Shasha improved considerably, smiling:
"Then thank you in advance, Yu Shasha. But, even 'special offers' are of this quality, the quality control at Xuanwu Heavy Industry is frighteningly strict."
Yu Shasha blushed and stuck out her tongue.
Yu Feng snorted irritably, not exposing his sister's true intentions.
After all, being able to fight "Mad Dog" again would put an end to his worries, and besides... this guy's strength made him a truly worthy opponent.
He was already planning how to make the most of the "custom-made knife" excuse, so that he would have a reason to challenge him to another fight for revenge next time he reached the Blood Condensation Realm.
Tan Xing, with "Black Thunder Swift" at his waist, felt much more confident.
He cupped his hands in a gesture of respect to Yu Feng and his sister:
"The knife is in hand, thank you for your hospitality. If there's nothing else, I'll take my leave.
As for the follow-up on the custom-made knife..." Yu Feng waved his hand irritably, "Get lost! I'll have Sasha inform you later!"
"Okay!" Tan Xing agreed happily.
Yu Sasha waved her hand: "Goodbye, Tan Xing! Keep in touch!"
Tan Xing smiled, turned and walked out of the VIP room, his back view dashing and neat.
This trip not only saved him a fortune and allowed him to snag a top-quality knife for free, but he also managed to "teach" the rich young master a lesson, leaving him in an incredibly pleasant mood.
Unbeknownst to him, behind him, Yu Feng had already taken out his phone and started contacting the weapon-forging master at Xuanwu Heavy Industries:
"Hey, Uncle Li, keep an eye out for any good materials lately… Yes, I might need to commission a knife… a real weapon for actual combat… not just a showpiece…"

Chapter 36 The Chase!
Today is a good day, all my wishes will come true… Tan
casually stroked the newly acquired "Black Thunder-Swift" sword at his waist, the scabbard exuding a cool aura, but his heart was burning with excitement, an uncontrollable smile playing on his lips.
The fight just now was exhilarating, and he even got such a fine sword for free; anyone would be ecstatic.
"Today is a good day~ Let's open the door and welcome the spring breeze…!"
He had just stepped into Building 3 of the Spring Breeze residential complex, climbed to the fifth floor, and before he could finish his sentence, he abruptly stopped.
"What the hell?!…Where's my front
door?!" There was no front door in sight.
The entire security door had vanished, and the outside of the stairwell offered a clear view of his entryway. Tan Xing's face instantly turned ashen, a surge of anger rising to his head.
He strode into the house, only to be met with utter chaos. Furniture was overturned, and shards of glass were scattered everywhere.
On the broken sofa in the center sat Su San, his face grim.
Behind him stood a dense crowd of over twenty burly men, all dressed in black suits, their muscles bulging, their eyes like knives, fixed on Tan Xing, who had just barged in.
Tan Xing's gaze swept over the group, his fingers silently resting on the hilt of his knife. He grinned at Su San:
"What, Su San? Such a big show of force, is Boss Su planning to break off relations?"
Su San stared at him, his face dark, his tone impatient:
"Where's the Blood Crystal?"
Tan Xing's heart sank, but a perfectly timed look of confusion appeared on his face:
"What Blood Crystal? What are you talking about?"
Su San's tone was sinister, each word deliberate:
"The Blood Crystal Old Wolf… gave you, hand it over."
Hearing the name "Old Wolf," Tan Xing knew he'd been caught.
He cursed inwardly: "That useless Old Wolf, he's finally been caught, and he even sold me out!"
His mind raced, and he quickly glanced at the group of burly men in black around him. He subtly took a half-step towards the door, his smile growing even more blatant:
"Oh~ you mean that broken rock? I threw it into the Canglan River to feed the fish!"
"What!?"
Veins bulged on Su San's forehead as he suppressed his rage, his voice practically squeezed out between clenched teeth:
"You little brat, come with me. We'll find another place... to have a proper chat."
He abruptly waved his hand and shouted behind him:
"Grab him! Take him back to the company!"
Before his words even finished, Tan Xing's figure had already darted out like a black lightning bolt, instantly disappearing outside the door.
He let out a long laugh, his voice echoing in the narrow stairwell:
"Hahaha... you worthless cowards think you can catch me?"
Su San's expression changed drastically, and he charged forward first, roaring:
"Chase!!"
Tan Xing's toes barely touched the ground as his figure rapidly descended through the old stairwell, the sound of footsteps behind him like a dense rain, a chilling killing intent surging in his chest.
He had a clear direction, rushing out of the residential area without hesitation, heading straight for the old northern district, the opposite of the bustling city center.
Su San and his men relentlessly pursued him, their aggressive momentum causing a few passersby to panic and scatter.
"All of them are at the Blood Condensation Realm... This is troublesome."
Tan Xing, while speeding away, calmly assessed the strength of his pursuers, his eyes gradually sharpening.
No survivors!
A ruthless thought flashed through his mind...
He had to find a place to eliminate them all; he couldn't let anyone return to report!
Thinking this, a fierce glint appeared in Tan Xing's eyes.
He abruptly turned around, gave the middle finger to Su San, who was charging at the front, and let out an arrogant sneer.
The next moment, his blood and qi circulated throughout his body, his speed soaring again, shooting towards the old district in the north of the city like an arrow.
Su San, seeing Tan Xing rush into the north of the city without hesitation, was first stunned, then secretly delighted.
"Seeking your own death!"
He grinned maliciously, pushing off with his feet, increasing his speed by another third, leading his men like hyenas smelling blood, plunging headlong into the gray, dilapidated building complex.
Beijiang City, with its distinct layout.
The city center is the heart, a gathering place for the powerful and wealthy, with dazzling neon lights, representing the city's prestige and prosperity;
the southern city is the skeleton, with giant factories and towering chimneys as its hallmarks, where the industrial pulse of behemoths such as Xuanwu Heavy Industry, Qimingxingchen, and Dingfeng Group beats.
Yufeng District is merely a facade, a place of dazzling lights, revelry, and rampant desire and clamor.
The North District, however, is the city's unseen, festering wound.
It's a slum, a lawless zone, a melting pot of all sorts of people, with gangs vying for power.
The air is perpetually thick with the pungent stench of rotting garbage and cheap fuel.
Boarded-up windows, faded graffiti, and defiant gang markings are everywhere.
Here, scavengers selling stolen goods, prostitutes harassing customers, shifty-eyed thieves, and belligerent thugs are the main characters.
Chaos and danger are the only order here.
For this reason, anyone of even a modicum of status in the Northern Frontier would never easily set foot here.
For Su San, Tan Xing's escape here was like a lamb entering a hunting ground, saving him a lot of trouble… Here, whatever happens won't easily attract unnecessary attention.
"Chase him! He can't get far!"
Su San roared, leading his men in hot pursuit, their figures quickly swallowed up by the intricate, dark, and cramped alleyways of the North City District.
Tan Xing crouched on the rooftop of an abandoned building, his figure almost blending into the dim sky.
He coldly watched as Su San led his group of men in black crashed into this chaotic jungle of steel and concrete below, a chilling smile playing on his lips.
He took a deep breath, the unique air of the North City District, a mixture of rust, rotting garbage, and the acrid smell of some kind of low-quality energy burning, filling his lungs. This familiar smell didn't bother him; instead, it seemed to ignite a certain excitement within him.
"The hunt... has begun."
His voice was low, carrying undisguised killing intent.
Tan Xing knew this intricate and dangerous North City District like the back of his hand.
He had grown up here, struggling and toiling away. Back when he was working in the slaughterhouse to extract 'essence' for templates, he had followed Old Man Huang and the other orphans, doing anything to survive.
Slashing, fighting, dodging even more vicious forces, bleeding and sweating in the filthy alleys.
It has to be said, everyone in the North District is a "talent," their words are "pleasant," and their methods are ruthless enough. Tan Xing really loves this place.
Every time he sees those thugs on the street with fierce or numb eyes, he seems to see his own past self.
Although he's young, he's experienced more life and death than many ordinary people in their entire lives.
Sometimes he feels he's licked the feet of Lady Luck to be alive!
Back then, so weak, he managed to struggle to survive.
Now he's officially entered the Blood Condensation Realm, wielding a sharp blade. Would he really be swallowed up by Su San and his gang of dog dogs who guard homes and bully others? What a joke!
"Hehe!"
Tan Xing smiled wickedly. The next moment, he slightly shrank back, completely merging into the heavy shadows cast by the abandoned buildings, his aura concealed, silent and undetectable.
Tan Xing moved like a ghost among the broken walls and abandoned vehicles.
His footsteps were so light they were almost inaudible, a stark contrast to the pursuers behind him, whose footsteps crunched on the gravel and whose breathing grew increasingly heavy.
The North District was his territory; every whiff of rust and every shadow here was his ally.
"Split up and search! He's definitely hiding in these abandoned buildings!"
Su San's exasperated voice echoed through the empty, abandoned factory room, filled with anger and anxiety.
The twenty-odd men he had brought immediately dispersed, forming a search network in small groups, trying to find Tan Xing.
"Heh, idiots."
Tan Xing chuckled silently, his body pressed against a low wall covered in graffiti, his gaze fixed on the group closest to him... two men in black were cautiously searching a half-collapsed garage.
He held his breath, calculating the distance and timing.
Just as one of them turned his back to him...
*whoosh!*
Tan moved! Not by pouncing directly, but by kicking a deflated oil drum beside him.
*Clang!* The deafening roar pierced the deathly silence of the abandoned factory.
"Over there!" The two men in black were immediately drawn by the sound, their eyes darting nervously towards the direction of the rolling oil drums.
In that instant their attention was diverted, Tan Xing leaped from the shadows!
His "Black Thunder - Swift" sword flashed from its sheath, a dark, gleaming light sweeping across with pinpoint accuracy!
*Sizzle!
* A faint tearing sound.
A thin line of blood appeared on one of the men in black's throat. His eyes widened, he groaned a few times, and collapsed limply to the ground.
The other man turned around in shock, only to see his companion fall and a figure moving with incredible speed!
"You—" He barely managed to utter a word, trying to raise his short knife.
But Tan Xing gave him no chance! Twisting, closing in, his elbow slammed into his temple like a hammer blow!
*Crack!* A sickening sound of bone breaking rang out.
The man in black didn't even utter a sound; his eyes instantly bulged bloodshot, and he collapsed to the ground, his body twitching twice before falling silent.
The entire process took less than three seconds! Clean, ruthless, and merciless!
Tan Xing didn't even glance at the corpses, quickly rummaging through their bodies, pulling out a small wad of crumpled cash, and casually stuffing it into his pocket.
"Poor bastards!"
he muttered, his figure disappearing back into the shadows.
This was the law of the North City District: death and looting were commonplace.
In a mere instant, two Blood Condensation Realm martial artists were swiftly and decisively dealt with without even unleashing their inner energy.
The next few minutes became Tan Xing's one-man hunting performance.
Screams, exclamations, and the thuds of heavy objects falling echoed throughout the dimly lit building, adding to the horror.
Su San's face grew increasingly grim.
He realized his men were rapidly dwindling, and he hadn't even managed to touch Tan Xing's clothes! This wasn't a pursuit; it was a reverse slaughter!
"Damn it! You brat! Get out here!"
Su San roared, his voice trembling slightly with rage.
He no longer held back, his inner energy erupting, unleashing the full power of his Blood Condensation Realm. His speed increased dramatically, and he smashed through a rotten wooden door, bursting into the lobby of a relatively intact abandoned building.
The lobby was empty, with only a few load-bearing pillars and scattered trash.
Tan Xing flicked the warm blood off his "Black Thunder-Swift" blade, his eyes looking down disdainfully at Su San and his remaining five or six men.
"Su San, why are you so angry?"
His tone was flippant, as if he hadn't just been killing people, but merely picking a few melons in the backyard:
"Now that it's quiet, we can 'have a good chat.' For example, how's that good-for-nothing Old Wolf doing? What's so special about that broken blood crystal that made Boss Su so furious, even tearing down my door?"
Su San's eyes twitched violently as he stared at the several corpses faintly visible in the shadows of the hall, his heart bleeding!
These were all carefully trained experts from the company; Blood Condensation Realm martial artists weren't commonplace, and in such a short time, nearly twenty had fallen at the hands of this brat!
This wasn't some high school student! This was clearly a killing star who had rolled through mountains of corpses and seas of blood!
A strong sense of regret surged through him; he shouldn't have been so arrogant, he should have brought firearms!
But it was too late now, he was in a bind.
If he returned empty-handed, or even completely wiped out, Boss Su would definitely skin him alive!
"You little bastard! You're asking for death!"
Su San roared, trying to mask his fear with his voice. His inner energy erupted without restraint, unleashing an aura far more powerful than the previous black-clad men—clearly a master of the mid-stage Blood Condensation Realm!
His fists clenched, his knuckles crackling and gleaming with a metallic sheen, indicating he had mastered some kind of hard martial art.
"Attack! All at once! Chop him down!"
Su San commanded sharply, taking a slight step back to allow his men to wear down Tan Xing's strength.
The remaining five or six black-clad men, though terrified, were even more intimidated by Su San's power. With a shout, they charged forward, weapons in hand.
Blades flashed, wind howled, and the men coordinated perfectly, sealing off Tan Xing's escape route.
"Well done!"
Tan Xing laughed instead of being alarmed, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
This was exactly the kind of pressure he needed!
"Black Thunder - Swift" emitted a deep hum. Tan Xing's figure advanced instead of retreating, like a twisted black shadow, directly crashing into the flashing blades!
Clang! Clang!
The sound of metal clashing was like a torrential downpour on banana leaves, rapid and intense!
The dark blade light was like the scythe of death, each flash carrying extreme danger.
Tan Xing's movements were unpredictable and elusive, maneuvering and dodging in the narrow space, always avoiding fatal attacks at the last second, while his blade always struck from the most tricky angles!
"Pfft!"
A black-clad man's wrist was severed at the root. His scream was cut short by a flash of blade light.
Tan Xing dodged the blade aimed at his head, his elbow striking another man squarely in the chest.
The black-clad man's eyes bulged, blood mixed with fragments of internal organs gushing from his mouth, before collapsing to the ground.
The slaughter continued! Tan Xing was like a precise killing machine, efficient and ruthless, every strike drawing blood!
His internal energy cultivation might only be at the initial stage of the Blood Condensation Realm, but his combat awareness, ruthlessness, and understanding of the sword completely overwhelmed his opponents of the same or even slightly higher level!
Screams and the clash of weapons echoed within the abandoned building, carrying far and wide.
This commotion finally attracted the attention of the "natives" of the North City District.
Several groups of gang members from different neighborhoods were drawn by the unusually intense fighting and cautiously followed the sound.
Like rats in the dark, they silently appeared in various corners of the abandoned factory area, hiding behind broken walls or peering curiously down from broken windows on higher floors.
"Hiss!...Those are... Su Sanye's men?"
A scarred man recognized the black-clad men's clothing and gasped.
The Dingfeng Group behind Su Sanye wielded immense power in Beijiang City, and even in the North City District, few dared to provoke them.
"Who's he fighting? So fierce! One man against a whole group?"
Another skinny young man stared wide-eyed at the ghostly figure moving below, each flash accompanied by the loss of one of Su San's men, sending chills down his spine.
"Damn! That kid's ruthless! Every move is
aimed at vital points!" A gang leader's face paled. He considered himself ruthless, but seeing Tan Xing's precise and efficient killing style still made him shudder. That wasn't a fight, that was slaughter!
When they saw the situation... Su San's twenty-odd skilled men had been almost completely slaughtered, leaving only Su San and two or three men struggling to hold on. The young man with the knife, though also covered in blood and with some superficial wounds, was fighting with increasing ferocity, his eyes shining terrifyingly... All the gang members who had come to investigate fell silent.
This was not something they could get involved in!
"Run! Run! Damn it, watching too much will shorten your lifespan!"
The scarred man was the first to react, growling and turning to shrink into the shadows without hesitation.
"Go, go, go! Can't afford to mess with them! Really can't afford to mess with them!" The skinny youth scrambled after him.
Several groups of people from different gangs, without even a thought of mutual wariness, retreated swiftly and silently, as if they had never been there.
One of the rules of the North City District: Don't be curious about the excitement you can't afford to mess with, or you'll easily become part of the excitement.
Their arrival and departure did not affect the fierce battle in the arena.
Tan Xing had already noticed those prying eyes, but he didn't care.
The last man in black was kicked away by Tan Xing, his chest caved in, and he crashed into a pillar, his life hanging in the balance.
The entire empty hall was left with only Tan Xing, panting heavily and with several wounds on his body, and Su San, his fists clenched, furious.
Tan Xing cracked his neck, and, carrying his blood-dripping sword, walked step by step towards Su San, his smile chilling:
"Now, it's just us left. Su San, have you decided how you want to talk?"
Just moments ago, Su San and his men had swarmed forward, thinking they could quickly take down Tan Xing with their numbers, but they hadn't expected the opponent's movements to be so unpredictable and his sword so fast!
Not only did they fail, but Tan Xing also used the situation to his advantage, killing several of them in an instant, reducing their numbers by nearly half!
This ruthless and decisive tactic made Su San's heart sink, and a chill ran down his spine.
He suddenly remembered some fragmented rumors about Tan Xing's background... If those brats from the North City Orphan Gang, like Little Fox and A Gui, saw that he had actually tried to take down Tan Xing by ganging up on him, they'd probably laugh their heads off!
Everyone knows that their "Brother Tan" grew up in the most chaotic alleys of the north of the city, his specialty being to pull out a knife in the middle of a melee, fighting and running away to wear down his opponent!
Su San took a deep breath, forcibly suppressing his surging blood and qi, his internal energy frantically gathering in his fists, gleaming with a faint metallic sheen, and shouted:
"Kid! You win! I admit defeat today! As long as you hand over the Blood Crystal, I'll leave immediately, and we'll pretend nothing happened!"
"Hmph—Ptooey!"
The response was a quick and precise spit.
Su San tilted his head slightly, and the spit almost grazed his cheek, instantly turning his face ashen.
"Trying to make peace just because you can't beat them?"
Tan Xing sneered, lightly flicking the blade of "Black Thunder-Swift" with his fingertip, producing a clear, resonant hum.
"Where's all that energy you had when you were tearing down my door and yelling about killing me? Let me tell you, too late! Today, you, Su San,
won't be leaving this building!" Su San was completely enraged, roaring, "You little brat! You really think I'm afraid of you?! I've killed countless bastards who dared to bare their teeth at me with these iron fists! You, a student who just broke through to the Blood Condensation Realm, what do you think you can do to kill me? Dream on!"
"Oh? So, you're very strong?"
Tan Xing wasn't angry but rather delighted, his eyes suddenly lighting up as if he had spotted some perfect prey, a burning fighting spirit rising from his chest.
Having just entered the Blood Condensation Realm, he desperately needed a worthy testing ground!
He wanted to know exactly where he stood in the Blood Condensation Realm!
And Su San, with his vigorous blood and stable cultivation at the mid-stage of the Blood Condensation Realm, was practically a perfect opponent delivered right to his doorstep!
Tan Xing licked his slightly dry lips, poised and ready to unleash his full power, his smile turning wicked and excited:
"Perfect... I'll use you to test my new knife, see how sharp it is!

Epilogue of Chapter 37
Five minutes later.
Su San lay face up on the cold ground, bleeding profusely from his limbs, his tendons in his feet and hands severed!
Only his violently heaving chest and hoarse breathing proved that he was still alive, like a completely crushed dog.
Tan Xing stepped forward, grabbed his hair, and lifted his blood-stained face off the ground, his voice filled with speechless rage:
"Fuck you! Didn't you say you were strong? Didn't you say your fists were hard and you'd killed a lot of people? This is it? I finally went all out, and now you've left me stuck in this awkward position!" Su
San's wounds were aggravated, the excruciating pain almost making him faint. He struggled to open his swollen eyes, coughing up blood and hissing, "Cough...cough cough...Tan...Tan Xing...I admit defeat this time...Let me go back...I promise...I'll pretend nothing happened today...I'll handle things with the boss..." "Heh." Tan Xing chuckled, flicking his wrist. The cold blade of "Black Thunder - Swift" was already pressed against Su San's neck, sending shivers down his spine. The feeling of death descended instantly! Su San was terrified, yet still clung to the last shred of hope, hissing, "You can't kill me! Think it through! If you kill me... your brother... your mother... will all be buried with me! The boss will never let them go! Think it through!!" Hearing this threat, the smile on Tan Xing's face vanished instantly, his eyes turning a chilling, menacing glint in them. He slowly bent down, leaning close to Su San's ear, and whispered with a cold laugh, "Go ahead. Go if you dare. My brother and mother are in the Martial Arts Association's residential building in Beijiang City right now. If your boss Su has the guts, take your men there!" "Martial... Martial Arts Association... residential building?!" Su San was struck dumb, his pupils shrinking to pinpoints, the color draining from his face, leaving only endless fear and despair. That's the residence of the core members of the martial arts community in Beijiang City! Anyone who comes out of there could be a master of the Inner Strength or Outer Strength realm, and there are even rumors that a martial arts master of the True Core realm lives in seclusion there! Let alone him, even his powerful boss Su Tianhao wouldn't dare to cause trouble in such a place! That would be courting death!
"No...spare me..."
Su San completely broke down, pleading incoherently,
"I can help you...I can still speak for the boss...I can..."
*Thud*
A dark blade flashed, cleanly slicing through his throat.
All pleas ceased abruptly.
Su San's eyes widened, filled with extreme fear and disbelief, before finally fading completely.
Tan Xing flicked the blood off his blade, looking at the lifeless corpse at his feet, his voice icy:
"The first time you threatened me with my family, you were already dead to me. Now you dare to do it a second time?"
"Despicable!"
As the last two words fell, an indescribable sense of exhilaration and relief swept through him.
Since his younger brother was taken in as a disciple by Grandmaster Chen Beidou, and his mother was moved into the Martial Arts Association's family quarters, his last vestige of attachment had vanished.
Now, alone, blade in hand, his killing intent rising spontaneously, without any restraint, he exuded an aura of dominance over the world.
Looking at the corpses lying scattered on the ground and the pervasive stench of blood, Tan Xing grinned.
He wiped the blood off his knife, sheathed it, and lazily shouted into the shadows of the empty, dilapidated building:
"Have you seen enough? Come out and clean up the mess!"
His voice echoed through the empty floors.
After a brief silence, rustling footsteps sounded.
Five or six teenagers, all around sixteen years old, emerged from behind the load-bearing pillars and under the abandoned machinery. They were all emaciated and dressed in ill-fitting, tattered clothes, their eyes filled with a mixture of awe, fear, and a barely concealed expectation.
One of the older boys, mustering his courage, took two steps forward, swallowed hard, and asked cautiously, his voice trembling with nervousness,
"Brother Tan... Brother Tan!! Do you... need any service?"
Tan Xing's gaze swept over the group of boys who looked like his younger brothers. A smile curled at the corner of his mouth, the previous murderous intent replaced by an indescribable meaning.
He looked at the boy who seemed to know him, slightly puzzled, "You know me?"
"Of course I know you! Brother Tan!"
When Tan Xing spoke to him, the young man's voice rose slightly with excitement, but he quickly lowered it again:
"A year ago, I... I was with Brother Jiu! Back then at the docks, Brother Jiu insisted on fighting with Old Man Huang for territory, and you... you spared my life!"
Tan Xing raised an eyebrow, seemingly remembering something, and laughed:
"Oh! That kid under Old Man Zhou who almost wet his pants? Tsk, I advise you to leave that guy as soon as possible, he looks like he'll die young!
This place is yours, do a good job. Treat your guys to a good meal!"
Before he finished speaking, he had already turned around, put his hands in his pockets, and strolled leisurely towards the building's exit.
Only when Tan Xing's figure completely disappeared into the light at the doorway did the tense atmosphere in the building instantly relax.
"Wow!! Brother Long! We're rich! We're really rich this time!"
A young man couldn't help but cheer, his voice slightly distorted with excitement, pointing to the good-quality suits and expensive-looking leather shoes of the men in black on the ground.
Another boy was already deftly reaching into the pockets of a corpse, his movements so practiced it was heartbreaking.
These teenagers were all "wild grass" natives of the North District.
Their parents were either long gone or addicted to gambling and cheap hallucinogens.
To survive, they had spontaneously formed a tacit agreement... "cleaners."
In this lawless land, there were almost daily, clandestine battles and deaths.
If left unattended, the corpses would quickly rot and stink, attracting even more trouble.
These helpless teenagers took on the job of cleaning up the scenes.
Most of the various factions in the North District, from gang leaders to ruthless lone wolves, tacitly approved of their existence.
After all, why not have someone clean up the battlefield for free?
The rule was: the victors were allowed to take ordinary clothing and a few pieces of jewelry from the corpses as payment.
But any conspicuous valuables, weapons, or important tokens had to be left untouched to their rightful owners.
They earned meager, even death-stained, wages through hard work.
Today's scene was an unprecedented "big order" for them!
The boy called Brother Long tried to maintain a stern face and some semblance of leadership, but the excitement in his eyes was impossible to hide.
He kicked the cheering boy and whispered, "Stop howling! Get your act together! Hurry up and don't miss any good stuff!"
The boys roared in response, immediately scattering and working silently and efficiently like experienced scavengers.
For them, this wasn't terror, but survival.
"Brother Long! Who exactly is Brother Tan? He's amazing! He single-
handedly took down over twenty people!" one of the boys asked breathlessly, struggling to pull off the coat of a corpse, his face full of admiration.
Ah Long paused, his face beaming with pride, his voice radiant:
"His name is Tan Xing! You know Fox Brother and Ghost Brother from our North District Orphan Gang, right?!"
"Of course we know!"
Several boys' eyes lit up immediately: "Those are the most ruthless guys under Old Man Huang! Who in our area isn't afraid of them?"
"Hehe!"
Ah Long smiled smugly, as if he were talking about himself:
"Let me tell you! Fox Brother and Ghost Brother both followed Brother Tan back in the day! Brother Tan was the earliest and most powerful one in the Orphan Gang!"
"Really?!"
The boys were shocked; Fox Brother and Ghost Brother were already figures they looked up to.
"Why would I lie to you!"
Ah Long's voice was excited, as if he were recounting a legend:
"A year ago, Zhou Lao Jiu and I went to the docks to seize Old Huang's territory. Brother Jiu was so arrogant back then!
And guess what? Brother Tan was there!
One stab! Just one stab! He ripped Brother Jiu open! His intestines spilled all over the ground!"
He gestured, as if he were back in that bloody night:
"I was terrified, thinking I was going to die!
But Brother Tan glanced at me, said 'Get lost,' and ignored me! That look… I still remember it!"
Perhaps, being able to witness such a legend up close and be "remembered" by him was Ah Long's most glorious moment in this quagmire of life.
Tan Xing's existence was like a ray of light in the darkness for these struggling teenagers, both terrifying and irresistibly alluring.
After quickly dealing with the mess on Su San's side, Tan Xing rushed back to Chunfeng Residential Area.
Along the way, his mind raced, calculating the losses, the more he thought about it, the more painful it became.
"That damn Su Tianhao... A decent security door costs at least 2,800 yuan on the market!
And that broken coffee table, that crooked shoe cabinet... Damn it, do you know how hard it was for me to save up this little bit of wealth?! Su Tianhao, I'll curse your ancestors!"
This rage surged to his head the moment he saw the glamorous image of the Dingfeng Group playing on a loop on the bus stop's security screen.
The sight of those elites in the office, sipping red wine and overlooking the bustling city, was a sharp irony to the bloody battle he had just experienced and the mess in his home.
"You son of a bitch Su Tianhao, you want to play, huh? Fine! I'll play along to the end, let's see who kills whom first!"
Tan Xing's eyes flashed with malice, his heart hardening.
He stopped walking slowly, accelerated, and ran home... No matter how big the trouble was, he had to get home and fix the door first. "
…
Master! Master! You've worked so hard! Here, have a smoke and take a break!"
The house had been tidied up, with the broken furniture debris piled in a corner.
Tan Xing, holding a pack of cigarettes he had just bought, enthusiastically offered them to the two installers.
The installers took the cigarettes, tucked them behind their ears, wiped the sweat from their brows, but their eyes involuntarily drifted to the badly warped old door, especially the clear footprint dent on it. They couldn't help but click their tongues:
"Young man… what kind of ruthless person did you mess with? That force, kicking a security door of this size like this… maybe you should talk to the security department again?"
Tan Xing remained unfazed, laughing and joking:
"It's alright, Master! It's already been filed, that guy's been arrested. Probably on drugs and confused."
He changed the subject, knocking on the new door frame being installed:
"But Master, is the quality of this door… reliable? Don't let someone kick it away again."
Upon hearing this, the installer immediately objected, patting his chest and assuring him:
"Young man! You're questioning the professionalism of our 'Solid Shield'! See this material? Special alloy! It's been internally pressure tested. Even a peak Body Tempering Realm expert's full-force attack would only create a dent! Absolutely safe!"
As he spoke, his tone softened, glancing with a hint of sympathy at the fairly tidy but obviously shabby living room, and lowered his voice:
"But to be honest... if a martial arts master who has opened their dantian and entered the Blood Condensation Realm or higher really comes...
young man, take my advice, installing any door won't help. It only keeps out honest people, not scoundrels. If that kind of person really wants to get in, unless you've installed a bank vault door."
Tan Xing grinned, revealing two rows of white teeth:
"Master is telling the truth! Alright, this is it! How much?"
"The door is two thousand eight, installation fee is two hundred, three thousand in total! Fair and square!"
the installer quoted the price.
"Damn! So expensive? Can you round it down? How about three hundred??"
Tan Xing subconsciously tried to bargain, the price really stung.
The installer looked bewildered:
"Brother, are you kidding me? This is already a very reasonable price, the materials and workmanship are all here. How about this..."
He pointed to the old door: "If you don't want this old door anymore, I'll haul it away for you, and I can even give you a 150 yuan discount, just to get some scrap metal money."
"Deal! Please, sir, haul it away quickly!"
Tan Xing immediately agreed, every little bit of loss counted.
He watched the installer begin to fix the new door, his annoyance at the cost quickly replaced by a stronger resolve.
This grudge of Su Tianhao sending people to demolish his house couldn't be left unresolved!
Since he wanted that broken blood crystal so badly, he'd personally "deliver" it to him!
Just then, his phone vibrated in his pocket.
He took it out and saw it was a WeChat voice call request, the caller ID... Yu Shasha.
Tan Xing's spirits lifted, and he immediately pressed the answer button:
"Hey! Yu! Is there any news about the custom knife?"
His tone was clearly expectant.
"Yes! Yes! My older brother got you an appointment with Master Li!"
Yu Shasha's clear and cheerful voice came through the receiver like a machine gun:
"Come to my house at 10 a.m. tomorrow! I'll send you the address later! Don't be late, Master Li's time is very valuable!"
"That's great! Don't worry! I'll be there on time! Thank you so much this time, Yu!"
Tan Xing thanked her repeatedly, his voice filled with undisguised joy.
After hanging up, he looked at the address Yu Shasha had sent and clenched his fist excitedly.
This was like a godsend!
He subconsciously touched the "Black Thunder-Swift" at his waist.
This knife was excellent, incomparably sharp, capable of cutting hair in two, and it had been as easy as slicing vegetables and melons when he killed Su San and the others.
But after that fierce battle, he felt more and more clearly that this blade seemed... a little too light for him now, leaving Tan Xing feeling unsatisfied.
If it were before, he would have treasured such a sharp weapon as a family heirloom.
But now... just thinking about how he would soon possess a battle blade personally tailor-made for him by Master Li, the chief craftsman of Xuanwu Heavy Industry, whose weight, length, center of gravity, and even its ability to conduct internal energy would perfectly match his needs and fighting style...
Tan Xing felt a surge of heat rush to his head, so excited he almost trembled!
This is what they call comparison is the thief of joy.
With better expectations, the "Black Thunder - Swift" in his hand suddenly seemed somewhat... inadequate.
He then calmed his mind, practiced standing meditation, ate, slept, and drifted off to sleep. These past two days had been filled with breakthroughs, fighting, and killing!
It had exhausted him!
