In face with Daya's statement, Mickey had only one thought 'What!!!!!!!'.
It was unfathomable to him, a girl, well sorta a girl, just asked him out. It had never happened before and he had never imagined it to happen, not in his wildest dreams. He was not handsome enough and even appeared sickly.
She stared at him, anticipating his reply and he could not bring himself to say no. She looked really cute and he just could not say no. Her eye lashes fluttered softly as she stared at him waiting for his reply.
Perhaps he could explain to her that he was not like other guys and swang the other way. He was gay and no one could change that. He was gay and would not pretend to be otherwise for a beast girl he did not know, she had saved his life so he probably should let her down softly.
"Um... I'm really flattered but I have to say no. I do not like females, I like males" He said.
"You like males?" Daya asked, really bewildered.
Men did not like men the way they liked women so what did he mean by that. Perhaps, he had been scarred by a woman before, there are such cases. Why would he not like women if not for that.
"I understand" Daya said but what she thought was "I understand but I refuse to. I cannot let a man like you go, a specimen like yours is really rare, if you say you like males I'll make you like females hehehe"
Mickey was surprised that she agreed readily but was glad, she was sensible after all. He looked around his surroundings and tried to make sense of the world he was in. He could not ask her about transmigration, what if he got stoned to death or burned at a stake.
He was in a beast world most likely, that was the most logical situation. He had read a lot of beast world novels so he considered himself knowledgeable on this matter, but he had never read one where the female begged the man to take her as his mate, it happened in a few ones but they were supporting characters trying to steal the male lead. She seemed like a fierce, female lead type of girl so why did she do that, or was this world different.
"Um...Daya I am not from around this parts. My hometown is much different from this place can you tell me about this place" Mickey said.
"Oh my gosh, oh my gosh. He is trying to find out about me. Play it cool Daya, play it cool" Daya thought.
"Well, this tribe is a bear tribe. There are brown and black bears in my tribe. Also, you are a man and would have been protected and cared for since childhood you might not be aware that men usually take 4 to 5 wives. Its allowed for the continuity of the tribe, my sister's husband, Derry, has 5 wives and has 1 1 children. He is currently pregnant with another litter, my sister's children" Daya said but the only thing that struck Mickey was the word 'pregnant'.
Men carried babies! Men got pregnant! This was upsetting the status quo, how could nature let this happen. How could men be the one that carried the babies for nine months, was it even nine months here.
"How long is the gestation period?" Mickey asked.
"For us brown bears, it's 180 days and for the black bears it's 220 days, that's 5 months for brown bears and 7 months for black bears " Daya said.
She was not kidding, men actually got pregnant. That did not make any sense! It was simply illogical! This would probably be the dream world of many females on Earth.
As Mickey ranted in his mind, a loud rumble sounded in the cave. At that moment, He felt like going under a cave, he felt so awkward, and the worst thing was that Daya was staring right at him.
"You are hungry, let me get some food. I failed my job as a female by letting you go hungry, whatever it is you would like to eat tell me I'll get it" Daya said.
Considering that he does not know what kind of food this world had, he decided to go for fruits.
"I'd like a bunch of fruits" Mickey said.
"I'll be back in a moment" Daya said then dashed out.
Mickey was once again, all alone in the cave. Typically, when people transmigratted they got systems so why did he not get any. As he pondered that thought, something struck him at the corner of his eye. It was a shiny little jewel, it glowed and looked like it had a rainbow inside it. The little jewel was hooked on his shirt.
Mickey moved his hand towards it then touched it only to be jolted back by a fierce amount of energy.
