Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

"don't worry boy when we get there, I'll explain it all to you" he says as he takes him out of the building leading him straight to the tallest building in the country. entering the elevator leading to the second highest floor.

in the second highest floor Daniel could see only one door and outside a secretariat table, though nobody was there, as he follows the old man.

*Knocks

"You can enter" a voice was heard as the old man opens the door walking in along with Daniel.

"This better be important don't have all day lucard"

"of course, it is, do you think I have the leisure to be visiting you for nothing," the old man says as he walks in with Jane.

runes appear on his feet as he closes the door.

"Who is he"

"a new mage that was just tested right now."

"Hmm, so there's something special about him?" he asks half interested. looking at Daniel, his blue eyes roam him not in any seductive way but in a discerning way, you could see the bags under his eyes and the deep frown decorated around his face as authority was naturally exuded from his body, he looked human completely white skin and deep brown hair matched with a deep brown overcoat

"Well, if you had any knowledge about mages what am about to tell you will definitely come as a great surprise to you, I just sealed this room. this knowledge shouldn't be leaked"

"What is he exactly" his serious face becomes more serious.

Daniel too a little curious as she looks at the old man, what was she exactly?

"hahaha," he looks at Daniel "you're a T.I.M.E Mage" looking at both of them in excitement expecting a reaction.

"Uhm so he's a powerful mage?" the governor asks in a kind of questioning tone not really knowing what to say. not that he had ever come in contact with one before he sure had heard about some very few people able to use some time-related ability though none of them had the power from magic.

"What, just powerful? for your info there can only be a one-time mage in a millennium, only one that's how scarce and rare they are. that could literally explain how heaven-defying the power is, hell right now I have no time spell with me. just getting hold of one of their spells is as difficult as...as… well whatever, you get what am saying. if trained well by me of course, he could be our 4th strongest youngling and might even make it into the top 10 young rankers.

"Interesting, but if you have no collection of time spells for him, how is he going to grow?"

"Will find some of course, and I know just where I could get one" a friend of mine is not in any association, just a grumpy old hermit, she owes me a favor I could get it for him.

"Your needed here, must you go?"

"Yes, and this is more important, don't worry I'll go with shadow, he should be able to conceal our footstep"

"Ugh, ok but be careful, you know you've been watched. an inscriptionist like you is an important asset to any association"

"Ugh, of course, I know how important I am, about him, no one should know about it just you me, and shadow no one else, at least for now"

"you'll be meeting that your friend hope she knows how to keep her mouth shut"

"don't worry about her," he says as he removes a paper with runes inscribed on it. inserting mana in it glows red as he also unseals the room. then his shadow starts to wiggle then emerges someone in a black cloak covering his face downwards "you called me" he says as he observes the room.

"Greetings governor"

"Greetings," he says as he looks at the old man awaiting an order.

"Get yourself ready will be going on a mission"

"We sir?"

"Me, you and him"

"Does he have to come with you?" the governor asks, frowning a little bit

"Unfortunately, yes, that wretch will have to see his face to face before she'll be able to release that spell.

we will set out tomorrow at sunrise, destination Rite Ria.

"Home!" the shadow answers with a seriously flat tone.

.......

//Rite Ria//

the clouds were all in different colors, two Suns in opposite directions could be seen, far in the distance in the middle of nowhere, a brilliant city stood, castles reaching for the sky, years ago it couldn't even be described as a city, a town where adventurers, wanderers, and salesmen dropped by during their journey, but since the chaos system arrived and the opening of portals connecting different realms. four portals appeared on the ground in the town and two large portals in the sky all leading to powerful planets that weren't hostile. the city bustled with different kinds of people going in and out some coming from the portals while some coming from outside the city. zentiaya, was the name. it was controlled by the mage tower. comprised of all mages. riterians were a powerful race and already had an ability that was on top of the food chain naturally when chaos came, they were able to stand on top some of them came together and created a faction. named mage tower a faction that actually existed before but now they had spread their wings to different races accepting any that had a talent for magic. teaching them their own kind of magic. immediately they grow. becoming the 3rd strongest in the white factions ranking.

working out of the portal, the feeling of last time was still there, unlike before, she was calm now she could feel it like she was drowning in the deep Atlantic Ocean, it was cold but immediately she walked out, the feeling vanished, her temperature slowly came back to normal. looking around Jane's left stupefied just like last time but better, she was surprised by the view, the high rise 1900s kind of building with different races working all about,

"Pay please" she hears a voice closer to her looking there she sees an officer. His hand stretched towards the old man. who in return pulls out some colored gems. the guard about to collect it is stopped by a voice.

"Wait, is that sir lucard? legendary inscriptionist?" he walks toward them. his eyes are only focused on sir lucard of course, apart from him, no one else mattered, what was he doing here? the second greatest inscriptionist. in the whole of Rite Ria, well in actual truth sir lucard was on the same level as the first inscriptionist, but based on the age difference been much older than the first, and really not having much time in the world compared to the first. he was ranked second

"How dare you collect money from the great sir lucard"

"Am very sorry I didn't know, please forgive my ignorance" the guard bows in fear who knows what will become of him if he dares disobey?

"No worries, I am feeling compassionate today. what brings you here Sir Alucard" he says as he finally loses gaze on the old man and observes his companion. one in a black robe covering his whole body and the other a girl looking as ordinary as they could get. the only interesting one was the black robed one, a high level of mana could be sensed from him, well not that high at all in his own standard while the girl had no shred of mana, not that you could use that to judge people's threat level or importance nowadays, she might have another power or something, you couldn't tell"

"That does not concern you, whomever you might be" lucard answers frowning a little, why was the kid acting like they were familiar with each other, the level of disrespect, humph.

"Your right sir, mind my manners, I am Lucas grey horn from the house of grey horn" giving a bow, pride exuding out of every pore, so thick you could smell it. not stopping he releases some of his mana 'with this, he should now look upon me with a little bit of respect hmph, someone from the house of grey horn, a mage family which currently was the third-ranking noble family in rite Ria, known for their wind specialization and with he's high-quality mana he could be he's a student no doubt.

"And so?" Jane and shadow follow behind the old man as he walks past lucard not even taking a glance at him.

keuk eyes squirm as veins pop up on his forehead, and his whole head turns red. not even a glance, such ego.

Calls out to the guard, which this time yelps in fright and immediately bows as he answers his call

"Yes sir!" perspiration on his forehead as he thinks about, his family. this was the best job he could ever get; Ben sometimes gets tipped by powerful individuals coming or going out of the portal. sometimes the tip was even more than he's salary

"Send word to the mage tower, of lucard reinser setting foot on Rite Ria, now!!"

"Yes sir!" not even caring about leaving he's position he runs quickly even falls sometimes as he scrambles to accomplish the task.

hmph. "Pen!"

"Young master" an old man appears from thin air, scars decorating he's face as he gives off frightening killing intent.

"Follow him, and don't get too close he will surely have a way to sense your presence if you to close, so be careful.
