Perhaps influenced by the awareness of civilization, what players are most dissatisfied with in the game is this "corpse starch."
Corpse starch, as the name suggests, is made from corpses. Of course, not all corpse starch is made from corpses, but indeed a portion of it is.
The raw materials come from abandoned biological components, old mecha servants, failed wetware modifications, and civilian corpses, which are crushed and then subjected to high-temperature acid hydrolysis, then pressed to produce corpse starch.
Players can accept this kind of corpse starch on the battlefield since there are records of people resorting to cannibalism when defending a city to the point of running out of ammunition and food in ancient times. Compared to this, corpse starch is only a scientific process, at least it seems like something legit. Of course, besides battlefields and famine-stricken worlds, most other places use chemical synthesis methods to manufacture corpse starch.
