The Beast Clan was in Quan State. They were preparing for a fight-to-the-death war with humans, who wielded both firearms and the martial arts. Unfortunately, Quan State City's greatest disadvantage at this moment was that their preparations for the attack were incomplete; they were almost defenseless. Furthermore, they not only lacked outside assistance, but even their basic reserve forces were far too few!
After all, one only needed to look beneath the city walls at the beasts swarming the surroundings of Quan State City, gathering and beginning their attack. Their numbers were well into the millions! Even if one human could kill ten beasts, with the current strength of Quan State City—a couple of hundred thousand regular army units, plus two hundred thousand reserve units—they could only kill just over half the beasts. At least half of the Beast Clan group would remain untouched.
This is clearly a meaningless slaughter, not the siege battle we initially envisioned!
