Chapter 103: Raikage Vs Hokage

THE BORDER OF THE LAND OF FIRE - KUMOGAKURE SIDE

Three figures just appear out of thin air just a hundred meters away from the temporary base camp at the border of the Land of Fire.
Uzumaki Raiken, Shimura Danzō and Sarutobi Hiruzen had just completed a long-range teleportation from Konoha, thanks to Raiken who mastered teleportation jutsu they arrived here instantly.
They are the first support who come to help Konoha Shinobi who are being attacked by the Raikage.
"Hokage-sama, we've arrived," Raiken said calmly and his eyes scanning the surroundings and he could see the situation is not good. His mind eyes also detected multiple chakra nearby
Hiruzen and Danzō exchanged a brief glance. No words were spoken and they just nodded because they heard the sound of fighting just a hundred meter away and their battle instinct told them what happen on the front.
"Let's go," Hiruzen said and he led the group toward the camp.
The closer they are, the heavier the air became.
The smell of blood hit them first and it reminded Raiken the memory when he was in Uzushiogakure, the time when he was just transmigrated to this world.
Although he had been here for a 2 years but to be honest, he was like a rookie in a real war.
He was like Kaguya, who was overpowered but don't know how to use her power properly and being defeated by Naruto and Sasuke.
If the final battle are against Madara, the story most likely would end with both of them died. Some people said Madara is too strong and the only way to defeat him by putting him out before the fight begin.
The only assurance that Raiken felt, is he can run away as fast as he can and live those two old fossils to die here.
When they arrived, they saw the base camp was in ruins. Broken tents lay scattered across the ground, they are too many bodies were strewn across the ground. Some already lifeless, others barely clinging to breath. Their blood soaked into the soil making the brown soild become dark red.
Around 40% of Konoha Shinobi are still alive and they are still fighting the invaders. Although they struggled against Kumogakure, but they are ready to die then run away from them.
Raiken clenched his fist when he saw them, if they had arrived earlier and if Hiruzen hadn't delayed the time of reinforcement.
They might have saved more of them and even arrived before the camp breached.
Because of the time wasted, because of Hiruzen's insistence on bringing Danzō personally, this camp had already been breached. More than sixty percent of the shinobi stationed here were dead.
Hiruzen and Danzo face changed when they arrived here, although they are selfish but still they loved the village and seeing Konoha Shinobi being killed make their blood boiled.
When they arrived, Konoha shinobi noticed them.
Hope sparked among the survivors that they can't help but said aloud.
"H-Hokage-sama!" one of the shinobi shouted, his voice hoarse from pain.
His voice were heard by everyone on the camp.
At once, the clash slowed and even stopped. Both sides turning toward the three figures standing at the edge of the camp
For the Konoha shinobi, hope ignited the moment they saw Sarutobi Hiruzen, their Third Hokage, who had just arrived to help them fight the enemy.
Years of training and propanganda had shaped their belief. To them, Hiruzen was unbeatable. He was known throughout the shinobi world as the strongest Hokage, a living legend who had survived the first Ninja war and emerge victory.
He was choosen as a Hokage because of his prowessness in that battle.
"You're finished now!" a chūnin Shinobi shouted, pointing at the Kumogakure forces. "Our Hokage-sama has arrived!"
Cheers erupted among the Konoha shinobi, filled with relief from the survivor. Some laughed shakily, finally allowing themselves to breathe after fighting on the brink of death. Others gripped their weapons tighter, confidence returning to their eyes.
Meanwhile Kumogakure ninja stopped, unsure wether to continue fighting or not, because Konoha reinforcement just come to help and the one who come are not ordinary ninja.
It is Hokage himself who had come.
Their earlier momentum faltered, and uncertainty crept into their eyes. But before they could give up someone powerful enough stepping forward.
The Third Raikage revealed himself after letting his subordinate to fight.
In truth, he had been hiding all this time, observing the battle from the shadows. He had deliberately allowed his men to fight on their own, forcing them to gain real combat experience against Konoha shinobi. Under his watchful eye, not a single one of them had died whenever danger arose, he intervened silently, eliminating threats before they became fatal.
Now, with Hiruzen present, there was no reason to remain hidden.
The Raikage stepped forward, lightning crackling faintly around his body as he grinned widely. This was the moment he had been waiting for. Not only would he crush Konoha Hokage, but he would also prove to his people and to the entire shinobi world, who truly stood at the top.
Without any further hesitation, he vanished and the next instant, he reappeared directly in front of Hiruzen, launching a devastating strike.
Hiruzen reacted instantly and Danzō moved at the same time.
Their combined defense met the Raikage attack head-on, chakra colliding violently as a cloud of dust and debris exploded outward.
Shinobi from both sides froze, eyes locked on the clash of legends.
"Don't worry about your weak Hokage!" the Third Raikage shouted confidently. "I'll deal with them myself!"

The war had just escalated to another level, while Raiken had teleported to another side.
He didn't want to fight Raikage head on and he didn't care either Hiruzen or Danzo are being killed by Raikage. Although his livestream audience begged him to join the fight.
His priority are saving the survivor and now he waited for Raikage to fight them on another place. Let their battle moved a bit far so he could kill Kumogakure ninja without Raikage intervention.
With every Shinobi he saved, his status would be elevated and he can become the next Hokage.
Furthermore he didn't believe he had enough strength to deal with Raikage. The man who can fight 8 tails alone and he didn't want to waste the point right now.
