It has been a while since Nate started the brain access process yet he was not done with whatever he was doing.
While this was happening though, Mark, Bull, Petro and Lyon were helping out the zombies though.
Eventually, it didn't take long for them to see Nate taking off the headband and he did so, his body dropped on the ground.
'How is that possible....did I just feel tired for a moment right now?' Nate wondered.
Although it was for a slight moment Nate was sure of what he felt when taking off the headband.
'Using the brain access this why must really be energy draining,' Nate thought.
He quickly got up and looked around him to see multiple faces. Faces that he didn't quite recognize but none of them seems threatening to him.
"Nate...! Are you okay?" Mark rushed over to Nate and said to check up on him.
"Did you just discover a side-effect? " Mark asked which he didn't give a response to, instead, he asked his question.
"Did you guys feed them already? " Nate asked.
Mark nodded in response to Nate's question. Seeing this, Nate smacked his face.
"Did you guys just double my work just now," Nate said as he storm off towards Bull who was still attending to a few things.
Mark followed Nate as they met Bull.
"Men...why will you make my job hard for me," Nate asked.
Bull hearing what Nate said was confused.
Nate decided to explain to Bull what he just did.
Right after Nate have finished dealing with the virus consciousness, he was expecting his consciousness to go back to his body, however, things didn't go as he thought as numerous virus consciousness which Nate was sure he defeated started to appear engaging in another round of the fight with Nate.
Luckily, Nate was still able to finish them off like before, ending everything quite faster than before.
"Sorry...I didn't know that will happen, " Bull felt bad at what he just did.
"Regardless, Make, do you have any reasonable explanation for why this happened?" Nate asked.
After a long time of reasoning, Mark has come up with an explanation.
"The most likely reason why the virus came out again, might be because of the flesh that was fed to the zombies," Mark explained.
"Since the virus just got their ass whop, the last thing one will dare to present to them is human flesh because this will bring them out of their nature crave for the flesh," he explained further.
After hearing this, Nate was glad that it was not something else. If what Mark said was true then the problem was already solved.
"Doesn't this means that they will be careful about how to eat flesh? Who knows, maybe too much eating might bring the zombies out," Lyon said.
Lyon was right. If the virus consciousness can break out as a result of eating flesh, then they should be careful about how they eat. Even in some cases, they might decide not to eat at all.
"That won't be necessary. The reason why the virus must have broken out again might be because the flesh was the first thing they saw that pleased them."
"I believe if we were to give the zombies some time, their real conscious will be able to adjust the body, maybe then, we won't have to worry about how much they eat," Mark suggested.
With that being said, the others were going to start up some preparation. Petro who has stayed with them longer than the other zombies have recovered quite okay and was willing to help out.
As the zombies were given time to comprehend things, Bull, Mark, Petro and Lyon went out to clear the base.
Bull and Lyon have confronted a couple of wild beasts which they were quick to kill off while saving the crystals.
"But..how were you guys not eaten by this beast if they have been here all along," lyon asked Petro.
"Being in a hibernation state is clearly similar to death...they can't sense us, even if they see us, they will only think of us as a statue," Petro explained as he watch Lyon and Bull deal with the beast in the area.
Surprisingly, the majority of the beast were dog-type.
"This must be all the k9 sniffing dogs in this base," Lyon said as he captured one by the mouth.
"I will advise you not to kill them, the one that loves taking care of them is among those zombies, if he was to learn that you killed them, things might get messy, " Petro advised Lyon.
Lyon could only look at Bull who seems to be in support of Petro.
"Fine...if I can't kill them, then I might as well take a copy of their DNA!! " Lyon said annoyingly.
He stabbed the k9 with a syringe and took the dog's DNA sample before injecting it into his body. Lyon then proceeds to knock the dogs out.
Petro was watching Lyon with amazement. So far, all the beasts he has been killing, he has been doing this effortlessly and also with none of his body transformed.
"What about...him, won't he be joining the cleaning, " Petro said referring to Nate's absence.
"Ohh... We didn't inform you, that boy is our leader and can do as he wishes," Mark said to Petro.
Petro could only look at Bull with a questioning look.
"It's a long story Petro, and besides, he is not a bad leader, in fact, we have grown quite a large settlement together," Bull explained.
Petro suddenly stood upright as he saluted Bull. "I don't care what might have happened when you left, but it's you decide to follow him, I will do likewise with all my might!!!" Petro shouted out.
Bull only nodded to Petro, meanwhile, lyon rolled his eyes and mumbled. "Not like you have a choice, he saved you after all,"
What he said was heard but no one took offence to it as they went back in clearing the base.

Meanwhile, Nate was sitting inside the gym in the mothership while training.
'I just realized how much I now rely on the axe, rather than making weapons or finding a way to increase my points, let's cultivate the ones I already have,' Nate thought as he was using all his battle skills.
After a long time of training, Nate decided to sit down and cross his leg in the middle of the gym.
'Fighting the first round of those zombies was something else, I still managed to defeat them, and I was granted a golden medal,'
'The second round was also the same therefore right now, I have two gold medal rewards,' Nate thought.
He decided to blend the two medals in return for a diamond medal.
