Is a zombie capable of waking up the dead?
The others already knew one person that could do that and it was none other than Nate. Although Peter can also do something that looks similar, the thing that Peter's death control although have a similar effect as that of Nate, there is still the change that occurs to the target after being used.
For instance, Nate might death control a human, they will still have their actual body the same way they were, whereas, Peter's death control changes the victim into a creature that looks more like a red ghoul itself.
On hearing that Ozzie was capable of waking up the dead just like Nate. The only thing Nate and his horde could think was that Ozzie might be a wight zombie just like Nate or perhaps another type of zombie that can also wake up the dead.
'Honestly... I don't know how to feel, is it a piece of good news that another zombie like me is out there? If Ozzie is a wight, that also means he will have the skills I have?' a lot of questions were running through Nate's mind and he wished Leo was here.
Nate was worried that if Ozzie was a wight just like him that the latter might have some skill just like him. Skills like horde eyes, Total control, brain access, and many more. 'Perhaps he might even have a system like me,' Nate suddenly thought but shook it off. He still remembers the origin of the system and those that built it.
Of course, the sudden change in the atmosphere didn't go unnoticed by Zee and the latter was already wondering whether he had said something wrong.
"Is everything okay?" he asked noticing that Nate and his horde were silent.
"Not really... I was only thinking how possible it was for someone to have such power," Nate said pretending as if he didn't know that such power existed.
The others were amazed at how good he was at pretending. "Besides, do you have any idea of how Ozzie's force is both?" Stanley asked.
"If it is his zombie gang force, then it is massive. I can assure you that he is trying as much as he can to spread the virus and those who didn't become like us right away... He will then use his strange device to turn them like us," Zee said.
The fact that this Ozzie guy can make crazy zombies become sane was already enough evidence for Nate to believe that Ozzie truly is a wight zombie.
With this, Nate had no other questions for Zee. At least not for now.
Meanwhile, he does not have any questions for him doesn't mean the others do not. Lyon suddenly asked an interesting question that Nate forgot to ask, not like it will help him in the mission anyways, but it will be good if he was to know.
"Why are the here zombies and half-beast people?" lyon asked.
"Finally... I thought you would never ask this question... Anyway, I only have the right to speak on behalf of the zombies and will leave him to explain about them," Zee said as he pointed at Tigger.
Tigger took a deep breath before speaking. "We are called the halfling..." he said.
"Just as our names sound, we are half human and half beast or we could say half animal," Tigger explained.
However, this was not all, the others know about that.
"Is that all, were you guys born like this?" lyon asked.
Tigger seems uninterested to speak but he got a look from Zee.
"We weren't born like this, you can just say we were unlikely to have a completed evolution," Tigger said.
Looking at Lyon, it seems like he wanted to ask more but was cut short by Tigger. "Enough of it... I don't want to talk about it," Tigger said angrily almost yelling at Lyon.
Lyon only shrugged his shoulder and decided not to venture further into the question.
"Am sorry, just as may have noticed, their condition isn't pleased with them, even I as a zombie do not like what I am, but I can't do anything about it because I can not be angry at myself, but the same couldn't be said to them," Zee decided to calm the atmosphere before things get out of hands.
"Although I don't know how you guys were able to get humans to stay beside you without them freaking out, not all are like that. Out on the surface, if a human was to see a zombie, they will run or attack them right away not minding if they are crazy types or intelligent type."
"The same is as them... Their type is being discriminated by other humans and sometimes, some humans will take it up to themselves and go hunting for them. Because of this, we all have one thing in common. I and Tigger with a few more zombies and halflings decided to build a place that will suit us and a place only people like us will be allowed inside," Zee explained.
Hearing this, it made sense to Nate and his horde why Rico had a hoodie on him and was running back then. It most likely was because he was being chased by some people who have spotted him.
It also explained why Lynn was stopped by the buffalo guards, if not for Peter's intervention. And also why they were receiving gazes from the people outside.
"Am sorry if I have broken your laws here by bringing a human in but trust me, she won't discriminate against someone rather will help out," Nate apologized to Zee who quickly shook it off.
"Don't worry, a single human won't do anything, as long as she doesn't get so much entangled with others," Zee said.
Meanwhile, Nate still has one last question before thinking of what to do next.
"Don't you guys have a way to turn yourselves back into humans or perhaps change your states?" Nate asked.
Tigger suddenly bursts out into a burst of laughter.
"Do you think if we could we wouldn't try to do it... Even Ozzie has tried blackmailing us with a solution but those who fall for it become a beast completely. Nothing could be done about it, we will have to stay like this forever," Tigger said though laughing, but deep down was sad.
He was sad that he will remain a half-human half-beast for the rest of his life and so were others.
Meanwhile, Nate glanced at Lyon. On seeing the latter gaze, Lyon looked away while crossing his arms.
'If they want my service, they will have to pay,' he thought to himself.
Nate seeing Lyons attitude wouldn't force him just hope that Tigger can do something to please Lyon.
The truth is that Lyon might have a solution to the halfling's problem. He can simply drain the beast's DNA out of their body just like he did to Rico.
However, the problem is whether Lyon would want to help and Nate had no reason to force Lyon into doing that.
With the meeting over, Nate and his horde were led to the place they will be staying... It was a room carved into part of the wall.
The room had nothing to its no home equipment.
"Sorry...as zombies and halflings, lying on the ground doesn't bother us. If in the future you want to increase the space of the room, you can always hire the worms for them to create more space for you," Zee who escorted them here explained...
"Of course, they will charge you for crystals," he added. With that, he was off. "I will probably return tomorrow," he said as he walked away.
Meanwhile, Nate looked into the open space before them. "This won't be enough, we need more space," he said.
It was only a one-room space for them all to fit in. This was all Zee could do since nates arrival was expected of them.
Just then, a halfling walked up to them. "Do you want some adjustment, I will charge ten advance level crystal to create demarcated rooms for your guys," the halfling said. It was a man with the body of earthworms, only his face was human.
Because it was an earthworm, it surely must move Earth's ability or something of that sort.
Meanwhile, Lyon walked over to the halfling..."Can't you do it for a crystal at least," Lyon said as he came so close to the worm.
"This is a waste of time," the worm man said as he turned back and crawled away.
"Why would you do that, ten crystal is not that much?" Levi said.
"Ten advanced crystal, that will not be an easy beast to deal with, and besides, there is no reason to worry, I can do the good myself, " Lyon said as he pulled out a syringe and injected it into himself.
Seeing this, everyone knows what Lyon has done. He have taken a sample of the worm's beast DNA and was now using it.
