Despite deciding to kill the Armored Overlord, Lake didn't immediately make a move.
Even with his maxed-out assassination skill, he could not find a single method to defeat the Armored Overlord in one blow. He simply did not have the raw power to penetrate its thick armor.
Lake even spent more than ten minutes sorting through the creature's fate for some sort of exploitable weakness but did not manage to find any. The creature's entire body was simply covered in thick, bone-like plates, with even the gaps between them protected by thick hide.
'Hard way it is.'
Lake didn't spend any longer deliberating and decided to just make a move. Worst case scenario, he would just continuously stack up minor wounds until the Armored Overlord bled to death.
He summoned his rune blade from his system's inventory and began to concentrate a large amount of mana into it. Mana began to swirl endlessly around the blade's edge, as the runes engraved on its side began to glow a bright crimson.
