Benedito and I laid in the bucket of my Dodge truck with a blanket laid out as cushioning. We were parked under the tree I spent almost every morning under before I had met him. Since we had spent our first official date from my side here that one beautiful night, it had become our spot and we were eager to visit it once we were done riding.
His head rested on my left shoulder as I wrapped my arm around him. We did not say much but enjoyed our surroundings. The water of the river could be heard from here, the wild daises created the sweet and freshest fragrance around us as the leaves rustled and birds chirped.
"I understand why you loved this spot so much," he sighed, "it makes you feel like you're away from everything."
"It's beautiful," I smiled. We kept quiet for a few minutes before I brought up my conversation with Clyde. "I told Pa about our dilemma with the house whilst you were riding and he offered we could build on the ranch-"
