"After the divorce things got a little shaky. We had our distance because they just treated me like a failure. Then after therapy and starting my company I found myself to be living in British Colombia."
"You live in Canada?" I raised my eyebrows in surprise.
He nodded with a grin, "It's the perfect place for car restoration. I spend most of my time there and after the news broke out of you and Benedito, it was unbearable to stay in Stephenville with my family so I rented out the ranch. I got a nice house that side close to my body shop. When I heard about your accident on the news first thing I did was hop in my truck and drive down here. That's why it took me so long."
I was amazed. My head was spinning. "You did that for me?"
"Of course Bilbob, you're my son. It wasn't a question on whether I should stay away or not. It was someone felt it was right to shot at my son and I'd be damned if stayed away from you."
