"How many of the prisoners did we lose?" Amelia asked as she wiped some sweat from her forehead. They managed to get all the Death Eaters and the Werewolves except for a small group who managed to escape, but she was not worried about them as they had prisoners and she was planning to wring out all the information she could manage from them.
She was already planning to start a manhunt across the country if the information didn't pan out and with their eating habits, it wouldn't be too hard to find them…
"About 70%" Rachel answered with an indifferent look on her face. To be honest, all of the prisoners they brought here were either sentenced to death or they were sentenced to life in prison. They were going to save so much now that all those freeloaders were gone. She knew that a lot of people were going to look aghast at her thoughts, so she decided to keep them to herself.
"A pity…" Amelia muttered with a frown, but she was not upset, not really, but she knew that she needed to cover her arse. If someone like Skeeter managed to discover what they had done, people were going to demand her head on a platter, ignoring the fact that she was the reason why no Death Eaters or werewolves of Fenrir Greyback's pack were going to terrorize them, ever.
"Are you sure you will be able to cover your arse on your side?" Rachel asked with a hint of concern in her eyes. The two women hadn't known each other for long, but the two of them had managed to form some weird sort of camaraderie over their situation. "I can give you some assistance if you want" Rachel added after a moment.
Amelia quickly shook her head in denial… "No, I have already set some plans in motion and it would be better if you didn't get involved, considering the Aurors still think that you are a sub-branch of the Lost Garden" Amelia quickly explained as she denied the offer. "Though, thanks for the offer" She added after a moment as she was glad that her new friend wanted to help her.
"Alright then" Rachel nodded her head in satisfaction and decided to drop the matter. Amelia was a big girl and she was able to reach her current position through hard work. It would be wrong to insist any more as Amelia was not someone incompetent. "I also need to deal with the mess on my side, so I will be taking my leave" Rachel offered with a smile as she turned around and signaled her men to start moving.
While Rachel never bothered to inform the Mundane authorities of the exact details, she needed to come up with something to keep everyone placated. Everyone except for the Queen and her team knew nothing about the real plan. As far as the Mundane authorities were aware, the prisoners were simply being transferred to a more secure facility.
"Hey!" Amelia called out before Rachel could leave. The woman stopped and turned around to look at Amelia. "It was nice working with you. I wouldn't mind working with you again in the future" Amelia said with a smile on her face, earning a similar type of smile from Rachel.
"Same here" Rachel grinned before she disappeared with a loud crack.
"I see, you have made a friend" Amelia heard a voice from behind her and felt a chill run down her spine. She cursed herself inside her head for showing her friendship out in the open like this. She whirled around her feet and glared at Gellert. "There is no need to worry, I don't mind. Friendship is a beautiful thing" Gellert added with a smile.
Amelia found herself flat-footed at his genuine words… It did not look like he had any malicious intentions, but she could always be wrong. "Albus and I might have stood on opposite sides for decades, but he is still my friend. I still visit him from time to time and catch up with him" Gellert explained with a fond smile on his face.
"Having someone to talk to feels nice. Harry is somewhat like me… He is ruthless, pragmatic, and utterly driven, but he is not my friend no matter how well the two of us get along" Gellert softly explained without looking anywhere in particular. "Everyone should have friends" Gellert finally added with a smirk as he turned to look at Amelia.
"I will keep that in mind" Amelia muttered tensely. "Can your men help with the cleaning? We need to clean this place as soon as possible" Amelia asked, deciding to change the topic. She didn't want to hear any more of the soppy stuff from Gellert and they needed to open the place back to Muggles as soon as they could.
Eurostar Terminal was one of the busiest places in London and she didn't want a Muggle or Merlin forbid, a squib to discover something they shouldn't…
"Of course" Gellert immediately agreed with much of a fuss. Working with the Government felt weird to him, but right now, he was a part of a mercenary organization and their biggest contractors were always the Government. He could see why Harry wanted to play nice with them, but not at the expense of their standing.
Harry had asked them to play nice as long as they were willing to pay or at least, they asked nicely for something minor like helping them clean a place… Then for a moment, Gellert froze before the smile on his face widened. Amelia noticed the look on his face and gave him a curious look. "The Dark Lord is dealt with" Gellert revealed and Amelia felt an invisible pressure disappear from over her shoulders.
"...So, the plan worked?" Amelia asked, feeling extremely relieved.
"Yes. Yes, it did. Harry also managed to get Bellatrix and her team" Gellert added after a moment and Amelia couldn't help but feel glad the way the whole thing turned out to be. Yes, they had to do some questionable things for the plan to work, but it worked. That's all that really mattered. Voldemort and his band of psychopaths were finally dealt with…
