“Don’t worry, leave it to me boss,” Franky said, nodding his head.
Franky assured me he’d take care of the plan we had just come up with to distract Michael while I was gone. Unfortunately, we had to come up with something rather quickly and wasn’t exactly as foolproof as I would have liked it to be.
“Michael will have no idea you’ve left town,” he continued.
“I’m not just leaving town, Franky,” I stared, worry heavily saturating my words. “I’m leaving the country. So, if something happens, it would take me hours to get back here.”
Franky patted me on the shoulder. “Leo, we can handle this. You go get your girl.”
I nodded and inhaled deeply. “Thank you, Franky.”
“Hey, when you find the one you’re crazy about, you can’t let her go,” he replied, smiling.
I returned his smile. “I don’t plan on being gone long.”
