I chuckled and shook my head as Bianca’s friends completely surrounded her, hugging her tightly and rubbing her tummy.
It warmed my chest to see my little fiancee so happy and surrounded by all the people who loved her. Even Alessandro and Mia managed to fly in to make it here on time.
I couldn’t be more grateful.
“I’m happy for you, Leo,” Al said, pulling me aside.
“Thanks, Al,” I said appreciatively, clapping the other man on the shoulder.
Al’s face became serious. “We’ll discuss everything that has gone on later,” he said with his usual air of authority. “For now, just enjoy the party.”
I nodded once, grateful for his words. We had a lot to think about with everything going on but for just today, we could stand to push it aside for Bianca’s sake.
“You two are so adorable!” one of Bianca’s friends gushed.
