“Ugh,” I moaned in pain as I attempted to glare down at my feet, hidden beneath my very pregnant belly. “I thought the feet-swelling was supposed to be gone by now.”
“He, you’ve still got at least a month or two of that left,” My Mom laughed, giving me a humorous smile from the driver’s seat. I pouted, feeling uncomfortable everywhere. The cotton maternity dress felt rough against my sensitive skin, and my back ached even as I had the passenger seat put all the way back down. I was halfway lying down already and I still didn’t feel well.
“I hate this so much,” I groaned, blinking back tears even though I didn’t particularly feel sad. My emotions had been everywhere lately, and it was becoming more difficult to stop the mood swings. Leo had been a trooper dealing with me during these last few days, but my Mama arriving to stay with us had truly been our saving grace.
