These people were the ones responsible for the Charged Beasts. Even ensuring that the population stays under wraps. Having watched how Rex and the Charged Beast was first able to fight. They had to come up with move abilities on the fly.
The poisoned claws were not enough. If they wanted to win, they had to change tactics. The three beasts behind Rex would be able to completely destroy the Charged Beast if given a chance.
They unlatched the claws from the deep machinery. Bringing out the poisoned claws, they were immediately trying new blades already considered has failed.
A pair that produced a small flame when it hits something was the first pair to be retested. Even has they first thought it was not enough. They quickly realized that someone who is powerful getting both claws and a burn would make extremely hard to think of a fight.
The claws were set aside for a possibility use. The next ones were a pair that sent shock through the nerves. This was considered a failed product because they could not feel the electric shock.
Upon studying it close up, they began to realize how wrong they were. They could not feel the electric shock did not mean other humanoids could not. This was put on the front lines as the next possible pair implanted.
The next pair was another poisoned pair. It was not a fast acting like the pair most were born with currently or implanted to become stronger.
This was a slow acting poison causing the nerves to act slower and feel less pain. The biggest advantage was that the user would feel the same regardless until the first cough was full of blood and at that time. The opponent was already a dead thing walking.
They had been testing a way to improve the Charged Beast. All of the blades so far seemed like a decent improvement. Instead of changing the next one to be sent. They all decided to change the one that was being tested.
The people in charge ordered a small crew into the test facility. They had to ensure that this was not going to be the last failure of the Shadow Realm.
The crew got together and was forced to combine the three pairs of claws together. They also had to ensure that only the top and bottom of the claws were connected.
As the blades were connected slowly. The people in charge were furious at how slow they moved.
The crew stood there ground saying, "You brought us here! You could not do this! Even now, we can barely connect these claws together without them breaking! If you want to do it yourselves then, be our guest!"
The people in charge decided to shut up after that. They were awaiting patiently. It took almost all night for the pair of claws to be melded together. The most crucial part now was to implant the claws into the beast.
The beast had its paws raised up it allowed it to still be relaxed but the two front paws were being implanted with the claws.
The right paw began its implant. The beast did not feel anything with that claw being implanted. As for the left claw, it felt unnatural pain with it.
Even as the other Charged Beast could have the claws changed randomly and without pain. This one paw was either born different or it had to do with the one set already being implanted.
"Finish it!" The order came down to the floor.
The Charged Beast understood that they were not the ones causing it pain. It glared up, the furs beginning to stand on edge, the new pump system working in overdrive currently, the fury built up, and the people upstairs began to sweat.
"For the War!" Those people shouted.
The Charged Beast did not stop its glare. It understood this now about everything. Beings in charge have to die first.
Once the pair of claws was implanted, it moved them in and out. This was not going to be the same case as the previous failure. No, it was going to slash them with everything it had. Since the liquid being pumped through the body was extremely potent. It was able to unlease a greater slash.
It jumped up into the room with the ones ordering it to be put through that pain. Only one person was still standing there.
Even now, that person did not fear the beast but instead seemed glad it could still grow. He cheered loudly as the Charged Beast could not tell what this person was thinking.
"My best creation! The first beast to stand after each new implant! The beast whom I used as a blueprint for all other beasts that we created! My pride and joy!" The man hugged the beast.
Although he did not want the beast in pain. He was the one who was left to deal with the situation and calm the fury of the beast.
The Charged Beast knew he was not one of the people who dared to cause it pain. It had understood almost twenty voices. Even now, it could not allow the other people to roam free.
It did something no other Charged Beast could do. It sent a shockwave through the shadows. It drew out the people whom it wanted to kill.
None of the people were inside its range. This caused it to be angered even more. This was just a taunt from the higher ups. They were ordered to die by the people using the Shadow King.
Once the Charged Beast saw their location. It darted fast through the faculty. Once it reached the end of the run. There were two portals opened. Although most of the people were on the left side, the ones it truly wanted to kill were on the right.
It walked forward strong and unbroken even as the other Charged Beast made its appearance.
The Shadow King declared those people not as traitors has the story had been told before. Has people who have made a bad mistake.
This upset the one using the current Shadow King. They wanted nothing more than to kill him currently. Even now, the guards around the women and his house were completely loyal to him and not them.
This furiated them even more.
